India face England at Trent Bridge having lost their last three completed T20Is. This has not happened since 2021, with India enjoying a glorious run of form since, culminating in two T20 World Cup titles.

Shreyas Iyer’s team need to win this game to keep their hopes of winning the series alive. After losing a game they were in a good position to win in Manchester, India may look at making at least one change to their XI for the 3rd T20I against England.

India possible 11 for 3rd T20: Is it time for Prince Yadav?

1. Abhishek Sharma, 2. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 3. Ishan Kishan (wk), 4. Shreyas Iyer (c), 5. Tilak Varma, 6. Shivam Dube, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Harshit Rana, 9. Arshdeep Singh, 10. Prince Yadav, 11. Varun Chakravarthy

Ravi Bishnoi is likely to lose his spot after a costly 17th over in the second match. Conditions at Trent Bridge will be dry and good for batting which may prompt India to play another spinner – potentially Washington Sundar. However, Prince Yadav offers more versatility for the Indian attack, including at the death.

On the batting front, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made his highly anticipated debut in the second T20I. Fans will be looking forward to seeing how the 15-year-old fares after showing promise on Saturday despite a short-lived innings.

But, India have a headache with five left-handers in their top six. It is something Aakash Chopra believes the T20 World Cup champions need to get right especially after making the tough call to drop Sanju Samson.

“It’s a very good question, but to find an answer to that question, we have to dig a little deeper and see who can go out,” Chopra said, as quoted by TOI.

“You have kept left-handers in the top three at the moment. You won’t see Rajat Patidar in any of those places because you’ve got Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan.

“There is no scope to change any of those three. Ishan Kishan is at no. 3. If you have the power to remove Ishan Kishan, remove him.

“He has become the number one T20I batter just now. It already seems like we are not doing right with Sanju [Samson],” he added.

Meanwhile, England have confirmed they will stick with the same team that won the second T20I.
