Australia have named a full-strength squad for the two-match series against Bangladesh in August. Experienced members of the bowling attack are back after their injury problems before and during last year’s Ashes, namely Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon.

Pat Cummins (c), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Jake Weatherald, Beau Webster.
Nathan Lyon is the only specialist spinner in the squad. He has recovered well from a hamstring injury and is driven to succeed in what promises to be a huge 12 months for Australia.
“I wouldn’t be doing all this work right now if I didn’t want to play every Test match. No one has a given right to be selected for Australia, so I know I need to make sure that I’m performing, doing all the right things. But I’m, hand on heart, set on playing every Test match I’m available for,” he said earlier this year, as reported by CricBlog.
“I was sitting there with my wife, and I literally said, ‘I’m not ready to give up this; I’m missing this right now.'”
Australia have a decision to make regarding the bowling attack with Josh Hazlewood back on deck. He missed the entire Ashes series due to hamstring and achilles issues.
On the batting front, Jake Weatherald is set to retain his spot at the top of the order. Cameron Green is likely to bat at five following Usman Khawaja’s retirement.
The first Test against Bangladesh begins on August 13 in Darwin. Mackay will then host its first-ever Test match on August 22.
