There is the chance of a delayed start in the third ODI between South Africa and Australia at Potchefstroom. According to reports, inclement weather has been a common theme in the leadup to the match, and there will be a race to get the playing field ready in time for the 10am local start.

Cricinfo’s Firdose Moonda reported that much of the rain was forecast to fall on Tuesday. That assessment is supported by AccuWeather, who predict a “cool and cloudy” day with just 25% chance of precipitation.
According to the platform’s hourly forecast, cloudy conditions are expected right throughout the day with top temperatures of just 13 degrees. This may not be enough for the match to start on time depending on the level of water on the playing field.
However, Google forecasts more rain to fall, with an approximate 60% chance of precipitation around 10am. The chances of precipitation then fall significantly after midday.
South Africa are seeking to whitewash Australia in an ODI series for the second time since 2020. That series included a comfortable six-wicket win at Senwes Park.
Pat Cummins is likely to play in what would be his first match of Australia’s tour of Africa. On the batting front, the visitors must improve against the spinners, who have dominated during the middle overs in this series.
