There is a chance of thunderstorms during the second T20I between India and West Indies at Ranchi.
India come into the match with a 1-0 series lead after Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 102 led the hosts to a comfortable eight-wicket win in Lucknow.

The captain who wins the toss is likely to chase given how well teams batting second often perform in T20s. The possible rain makes chasing an even more attractive proposition.
This will be the first T20I at Ranchi since 2023. In that match, New Zealand defended 176 against India. Also, there has only been one 200+ score in 10 night T20s at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, so it will be fascinating to see how the pitch behaves.
West Indies are aiming for just their second win in their past 12 T20Is against India in India. They had their moments with the bat in Lucknow, but the loss of quick wickets at crucial stages meant they managed an under-par 171.
Shreyas Iyer then took matters into his own hands, smashing 102 off 43 balls to lead India to victory with eight wickets and 32 balls to spare.
