Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Scenarios: Are Sri Lanka out?
Here is a look at the scenarios for each team.
Sri Lanka: 0 points, 1 match remaining vs India
Sri Lanka are officially eliminated after India beat Bangladesh. That result moved India to four points. Pakistan and Bangladesh meet on September 24, where one of those teams will also finish on four.
The maximum Sri Lanka can finish on is two points if they beat India.
Bangladesh & Pakistan: 2 points
The equation is simple for Bangladesh and Pakistan. Win on September 25 and qualify for the Asia Cup Final.
It will be Bangladesh’s second match in as many days after their game against India. This could prove to be tricky. However, both teams will back themselves to win what is a virtual semi-final.
India: 4 points, 1 match remaining vs Sri Lanka
India are officially through to the Asia Cup Final before their final match against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav’s team are on four points and only one other team (Bangladesh or Pakistan) can join them.
