AUS vs NZ Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: T20 World Cup 2022 Match 13 | AUS vs NZ Dream11 Prediction Today | SCG Pitch Report
Here we go. The Super 12s stage is upon us, with trans-tasman rivals Australia and New Zealand to kick things off in a potential thriller (if the weather is kind enough).
A match that offers up a number of questions is one to tune into. New Zealand’s poor record in Australia is under the spotlight, as is Australia’s chasing troubles in recent weeks. Also, Australia’s worries are further fuelled by Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell’s lack of form, meaning that two players in the top four are not delivering as they should.
However, Australia is a different beast in World Cups. Even new betting sites list the hosts as favourites for the title. The occasion often brings the best out of the team, and there will be no doubt this side will look to play on the front foot. How well the Black Caps handle the occasion, and how quickly they can get into the game, will be vital to their chances.
New Zealand will be hoping they have shaken off their Australian cobwebs already this season, after they went down 3-0 in an ODI series last month. In a group that also features England, as well as the potentially dangerous Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, there is almost no room for error right away, as the 2021 finalists do battle in pursuit for the perfect start.
AUS vs NZ Possible Playing XI
Cameron Green is now in the squad as a replacement for Josh Inglis. However, it remains to be seen if and how he features in this game. Also, there is unlikely to be room for Steve Smith.
Australia: 1. David Warner, 2. Aaron Finch (c), 3. Mitchell Marsh, 4. Glenn Maxwell, 5. Marcus Stoinis, 6. Tim David, 7. Matthew Wade (wk), 8. Pat Cummins, 9. Mitchell Starc, 10. Adam Zampa, 11. Josh Hazlewood
Finn Allen could play ahead of Martin Guptill. Daryl Mitchell is unlikely to play in this match. Also, New Zealand could opt to play two finger spinners on the SCG track, both of whom provide extra batting depth.
New Zealand: 1. Finn Allen/Martin Guptill, 2. Devon Conway (wk), 3. Kane Williamson (c), 4. Glenn Phillips, 5. Mark Chapman/Daryl Mitchell, 6. Jimmy Neesham, 7. Michael Bracewell/Ish Sodhi, 8. Mitchell Santner, 9. Tim Southee, 10. Trent Boult, 11. Lockie Ferguson

Sydney Cricket Ground SCG Pitch Report and Weather
All eyes are on the skies. The weather in Sydney has been poor in recent weeks, and it is set to rain on Saturday. There is hope of a result, with a total of a relatively low 3-6mm forecast according to bom.gov.au, but most of the rain is expected in the afternoon and evening.
In terms of the pitch, the SCG surface is one that can offer assistance to the seamers early in the season. But, it is a typically good ground for scoring. The run rate in T20s in the past three years is 8.24, only behind the MCG among Australian grounds. Chasing teams have won just 36% of the matches, with wristspinners (7.42) and finger spinners (7.05) more economical than pacers (8.47).
