AUS vs NZ Dream11 Prediction Fantasy Cricket Tips Possible XI Pitch Report: ODI World Cup 2023 Match 27 | Dharamsala Pitch Report

The World Cup 2023 is heating up, and the games are coming thick and fast. And what a huge game this is. Australia will take on New Zealand in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday (28 October), with ramifications on the top four.

After a slow start, Australia have finally hit their form right and coming on the back of three consecutive wins. They defeated the Netherlands by a handsome 309-run margin in their previous game. Glenn Maxwell is back into his groove, while all the bowlers were among the wickets, as Australia put on a perfect show in Delhi.

Meanwhile, New Zealand suffered their maiden defeat against India in their previous game. Rachin Ravindra (75) and Daryl Mitchell (130) impressed with the bat, but the other batters couldn’t stay longer at the crease, as the Kiwis managed only 273. The bowlers tried their best, with Lockie Ferguson picking up two wickets, but the target wasn’t as big to stop India.

In this article, we will look at some fantasy cricket tips, the possible playing XIs, and the Dharamsala pitch report as part of our Dream11 fantasy coverage in this World Cup.

AUS vs NZ Dream11 Prediction: Fantasy Cricket Tips

Australia:

  • David Warner is in the form of his life. He has 639 runs at an average of 42.60 and a strike rate of 97.40 in 15 ODI innings against New Zealand. This includes two fifties and as many centuries.
  • Warner has scored 142 runs off 166 balls at an average of 71.00 in ODIs against Trent Boult.
  • Steven Smith showed encouraging signs in the previous game. He has 531 runs, averaging 44.25 and striking at 81.69 in 14 ODI innings against New Zealand.
  • Smith has scored 106 runs at an average of 53 and strike rate of 100 against Matt Henry.
  • Mitchell Marsh has 236 runs at an average of 33.71 and a strike rate of 105.82 in nine ODI innings against New Zealand. This includes two fifties.
  • Glenn Maxwell showed his true worth in the previous game. He amassed a 40-ball century to dismantle the Netherlands. Maxwell will also contribute significantly with the ball after his recent improvements.
  • Mitchell Starc is at his absolute best every time he plays against New Zealand. Starc has 29 wickets at an average of 17.86 and a strike rate of 23.89 in 13 ODI innings against them.
  • Starc could be a good option to use against Tom Latham. The left-armer has dismissed the Black Caps’ captain three times for 42 runs in 62 balls.
  • Josh Hazlewood has 28 wickets at 21.10 runs apiece in 14 ODI innings against New Zealand. There will be some help for the pacers early on, and Hazlewood can wreak havoc.

New Zealand:

  • Devon Conway has had a rare failure in the previous game. He is expected to get back among the runs. Conway has 249 runs at an average of 62.25 and a strike rate of 100.80 in five innings this World Cup.
  • Rachin Ravindra has 290 runs at an average of 72.50 and a strike rate of 100.69 in five innings this World Cup. He will also contribute with the ball.
  • Daryl Mitchell has 268 runs at an average of 89.33 and a strike rate of 108.06 in four innings this World Cup. Mitchell made 130 in the previous game. He can also contribute with the ball if required.
  • Mitchell Santner is the second-leading wicket-taker (12) this World Cup. He has an average of 16.92 and a strike rate of 23.83 in five innings.
  • Santner has 17 wickets at 26.41 runs apiece in 12 ODI innings against Australia. He has dismissed Smith twice in 111 balls in ODIs, conceding just 73 runs.
  • Trent Boult enjoys bowling against Australia. He also has 39 wickets at an average of 16.94 and a strike rate of 21.46 in 15 ODI innings.
  • Boult has dismissed Smith three times in 131 balls, conceding just 89. He has total figures of 2/46 off 47 balls against Marsh. But, the big matchup is against Glenn Maxwell, whom he has dismissed an incredible six times in 32 balls in ODIs (19 runs).
  • Matt Henry will be key upfront. He has dismissed David Warner four times in 87 balls in ODIs (90 runs).
