BBL09 Match 41: MS vs PS Preview Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | MS vs PS Dream11 | Melbourne Stars vs Perth Scorchers Preview Dream11 Prediction | Melbourne Stars vs Perth Scorchers Key Players | MS vs PS Dream11 Prediction
After Adelaide Strikers turned the tables and thrashed Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers have the same task after being thrashed by Melbourne Stars a few nights ago.
However, the travel continues to be an issue for the Scorchers. They have spent the last seven days on six different flights, and now face the toughest test cricket-wise in BBL. The Stars, with seven straight wins, continue to dominate. Will it continue to be the case on Saturday afternoon?
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
- Marcus Stoinis is in terrific form. He is far-and-away the top run-scorer of BBL09 with 517.
- Stoinis at MCG in BBL09: 50 (44), 68* (55), 147* (79). He is coming off 39* vs Scorchers in Perth three nights ago.
- What an inclusion Jackson Coleman was for the Stars last game. He took 3/16 and bowled with great control.
- Josh Inglis continues to show promise. He was the only Scorchers’ batsman to show resistance last game with 37 off 19 balls. His last four scores: 51, 28, 73 and 37.
- Cameron Bancroft scored 59 vs Stars at MCG last season. However, it was a very different Stars’ attack that day.
- Will Liam Livingstone go boom or bust? He favours the leg-side, which is risky given the large square boundaries at the MCG.
- Plenty rests on Mitchell Marsh. He has had a fine season so far, hitting 354 runs to sit third. He failed last game (7), but his previous scores were solid: 48, 21, 93*, 40.
- And, of course, who can forget Glenn Maxwell? He has only faced two balls in the past two games, but he wasn’t dismissed in the previous three: 40* (32), 59* (37) and 83* (45).
- Sandeep Lamichhane has taken eight wickets in his past five games, including five in his past three.
- Fawad Ahmed can be effective at the MCG. He was economical (1/29) on his visit here a few years ago, and has taken at least one wicket in all but one game in BBL09.
- Jhye Richardson has been outstanding in recent matches. His last four games: 3/22, 2/34, 4/19 and 0/15 (4).
Head-to-Head
- Matches: 15, Stars 7, Scorchers 8.
- Stars rolled Scorchers for 86 a few nights ago.
Possible Playing 11
Haris Rauf has been picked for Pakistan for their upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. He departed for Pakistan on Friday.

MCG Pitch Report and Conditions
Marcus Stoinis slammed 147* a week ago at the MCG. The pitch was a beauty for batting, but the Stars’ bowlers who executed their plans well were rewarded.
The forecast for Melbourne is partly cloudy, 29 degrees and no rain. However, there is a chance of smoke haze lingering during the day.

Match Prediction
Perth Scorchers have a good record vs Melbourne Stars.
However, their significant travel over the past week or two, plus the incredible form of the Stars, makes this a very hard game for them. Stars to win.
