CPL 2021 Match 13: SLK vs GUY Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | SLK vs GUY Dream11 Prediction Today | St Lucia Kings vs Guyana Amazon Warriors Key Players | St Kitts Pitch Report
After one of the dream all-round displays by Romario Shepherd, the stage is set for a vital encounter as we near the halfway point of CPL 2021.
Guyana Amazon Warriors completed the double over champions Trinbago Knight Riders in a thrilling Super Over. Shepherd was the star with bat and ball, papering over the cracks that remain in Guyana’s batting and delivering another three-wicket haul with the ball. The Warriors now sit in fourth, and can develop some important breathing space against today’s opponents.
It is hard to get an accurate gauge on St Lucia Kings. They won one match and lost the other against champions TKR after going the journey against Jamaica. Their horrendous net run rate of -2.367 puts the onus on them to get victories on the board, as they will want to avoid a situation at the backend of the season where places are decided by net run rate.
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
St Lucia Kings:
- Andre Fletcher was terrific in his last outing (81* off 55 balls), but lacked any meaningful support from his teammates. Fletcher has the most runs in SLK-GUY matches out of players in the two current squads, with 287 runs at 20.50. He will be looking to improve on his underwhelming strike rate of 97.29.
- It’s a big game for skipper Faf du Plessis. Still yet to fire after returning from concussion, du Plessis will be aiming to rediscover the form he displayed in the first half of IPL 2021.
- Roston Chase scored 68 (51) and took 0/28 and 2/12 against Guyana in CPL 2020. The all-rounder will have a key role to play in providing quality support with bat and ball.
- Tim David scored a golden duck in his previous game, but not before producing fine knocks of 56 (28) and 44 (32) in his previous two games. Key finisher.
- Kesrick Williams will be key in the death overs. He is a proven wicket-taker in T20s (133 in 102 matches), and is coming off 4/24 vs TKR. He has 14 wickets to his name in 14 matches vs Guyana.
- Alzarri Joseph has taken just one wicket in four matches vs Guyana. St Lucia will be hoping he can deliver here, along with Wahab Riaz who has been expensive in CPL 2021.
Guyana Amazon Warriors:
- Nicholas Pooran was looking the goods vs TKR until a magnificent catch ended his 15-ball 27. Pooran made three starts vs St Lucia last year (68, 10, 11), and Guyana will be hoping this is the day the exciting left-hander goes big.
- Shimron Hetmyer has scored two half-centuries in four matches in CPL 2021. However, can he improve on a sub-par record vs St Lucia? It reads: 8 inns, 111 runs, avg. 15.86, SR 114.43. He did score an unbeaten 56* against them last year.
- Eyes will be on Mohammad Hafeez’s strike rate after a struggle yesterday (16 off 30 balls). He will be key with the bat, as well as the ball, after he took 3/18 vs TKR. Key player.
- What a season Romario Shepherd is having so far. He has taken six wickets in two matches, and can offer runs down the order, too. Can he continue the momentum here?
- Imran Tahir has taken six wickets in four matches in CPL 2021, and has nine wickets in six matches vs St. Lucia. He was superb once again yesterday, taking 1/14 vs TKR.

Warner Park St Kitts Pitch Report and Weather
The chasing team won both games yesterday, which may prompt a decision to bat second. The new surface used over the past couple of days offers assistance to both batsmen and bowlers, so a score in the region of 150 is competitive on a track with spin and grip available.
The forecast is for more clear and warm weather.

Match Prediction
Interesting contest here; one that may depend on how the all-rounders perform. St. Lucia performed well against Guyana last season, and have a lot to prove. They could sneak away with a win in a close one.
