CPL 2021 Match 19: JAM vs TKR Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | JAM vs TKR Dream11 Prediction Today | Jamaica Tallawahs vs Trinbago Knight Riders Key Players | St Kitts Pitch Report
After a day’s break, the two teams who played the last match of CPL 2021 will do battle again.
In the end, it was a miracle that Jamaica Tallawahs made a game of it after an awful display in the batting powerplay. Sitting precariously at 15/5 after six overs, the Tallawahs, courtesy of Carlos Brathwaite and Imad Wasim, stitched together a fine partnership to help Jamaica post a barely threatening but defendable 144/7. However, their fielding was then a major let down in what was a performance representative of their season to date: inconsistent.
Lendl Simmons then led the way with Colin Munro to keep Trinbago Knight Riders in the top four. After enjoying some luck courtesy of Chris Green’s drop on the boundary, Simmons then produced the kind of form he showed at the backend of CPL 2020 en route to 70 off 45 balls.
So, can Jamaica bounce back after such a flat display? They will need to do as they currently sit fifth, with matches to come thick and fast. Crucial match.
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Jamaica Tallawahs:
- Jamaica need to set their innings up in such a way that Andre Russell plays the maximum number of deliveries possible. Russell has an outstanding record against TKR, with 587 runs at an average of 53.36 and strike rate of 190.58. He scored 20* off eight balls two days ago.
- Russell also has 20 wickets in 15 matches vs TKR. Key player.
- Kennar Lewis has an important role to play in setting up the innings. He is Jamaica’s leading run-scorer in CPL 2021 (5 inns, 160 runs, avg. 32.00, SR 172.04). He will be looking to bounce back after a duck in the last match.
- Carlos Brathwaite has been in some decent batting form, with three consecutive 25+ scores including a half-century under pressure two days ago. He has a total of 337 runs vs TKR at an average of 25.92 and strike rate of 140.
- Imad Wasim will be aiming to replicate his fine all-round performance from two days ago (42 and 2/19). He now has nine wickets in seven matches vs TKR.
- Migael Pretorius is Jamaica’s leading wicket-taker in CPL 2021 with 11 scalps in five matches.
Trinbago Knight Riders:
- Lendl Simmons loves batting against his former team. After his 45-ball 70 on Sunday, Simmons now has 246 runs for TKR vs Tallawahs at an average of 49.20 and strike rate of 144.71.
- No TKR player has more runs vs Jamaica than Colin Munro. After his 34 two days ago, the left-hander now has 549 runs against them at an average of 61.00 and strike rate of 138.64. He put on a 100-run partnership with Simmons on Sunday.
- Darren Bravo returned to the TKR team on Sunday and he plays a team whom he has enjoyed some success against in the past. In 16 matches against Jamaica, Bravo has scored 354 runs at an average of 32.18 and strike rate of 120.
- TKR didn’t need Kieron Pollard to go big in their last game. However, if they need him this time around, he is capable of doing wonders as his record vs Jamaica suggests. In 16 innings, he has racked up 420 runs at an average of 42.00 and strike rate touching 163.
- Akeal Hosein is conceding his runs at an incredible economy rate of just 4.25 in CPL 2021. He has eight wickets in six matches this season, including 2/12 vs Jamaica.
- Ravi Rampaul is on fire. He dented Jamaica’s top order two days ago (2/26), and will be looking to do the same today. He is the leading wicket-taker in CPL 2021, with 15 wickets in six matches. Plus, he has an impressive 15 wickets in nine games vs Tallawahs.

Warner Park Basseterre St Kitts Pitch Report and Weather
Teams batting second have won the last three matches in CPL 2021, with the average first innings score just 130.67. The surfaces have largely been good for batting, but greater consistency is required from the batsmen. A score in the region of 160 can be a competitive one.
There was a rain delay two days ago, but conditions should be warm and clear for this one.

Match Prediction
Jamaica have the talent, but need this to be their good day as they have been inconsistent. Trinbago look to have more reliable players in their lineup and start as favourites as a result.
