With regards to Australia, they were blessed with contributions right down the lineup yet again. Darcie Brown was outstanding with the ball, while Ellyse Perry’s fielding highlighted the key difference between the teams. Ash Gardner’s all-round heroics won her player of the match, after crucial knocks by Beth Mooney and Meg Lanning.
And, in the end, that final over – and ball – of the Australian innings proved vital.
