Cricket News: India tour of Bangladesh: Schedule & squads | BAN vs IND tour details: schedule and squads
The Indian team will be touring Bangladesh for three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Tests in a tour that will last from 3 December to 26 December. Most of the senior stars who sat out of the three-match T20I series in New Zealand are likely to return to the squad against Bangladesh.
The ODI leg will set in motion India’s preparations for the World Cup at home next year. The Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka will host the first couple of ODIs as well as the second Test. Meanwhile, the third ODI along with the first Test will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Furthermore, the Tests are equally important as they will be a part of both the team’s campaigns in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23. India is currently placed at the fourth spot in the WTC standings and has to secure a good run of results; both in the series vs Bangladesh and also when Australia come visiting for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in February.
