Cricket News: Lowest totals ever in men’s T20s | List of the lowest scores ever in men’s T20 matches
Sydney Thunder were the record-breakers. Now it’s Isle of Man. Just a couple of months after Sydney Thunder were rolled for 15, Isle of Man became the new record-holders after a horror outing against Spain.
List of lowest scores in men’s T20s
10 – Isle of Man vs Spain, 2023
On February 26, 2023, Isle of Man scored a respectable 132/8 against Spain. A day later, they were rolled for just ten against the same opponent. Mohammad Kamran took a hat-trick and finished with 4/4, while Atif Mahmood took 4/6 with two maidens.
After it took just 8.4 overs to bowl Isle of Man out, Spain reached the target in two deliveries thanks to two sixes by Awais Ahmed and a no ball from Joseph Burrows.
15 – Sydney Thunder vs Adelaide Strikers, BBL 12, 2022
Incredible. Chasing what looked to be a gettable 140 for victory, Sydney Thunder were bowled out for 15 inside six overs. The 35-ball innings is the shortest completed innings in men’s T20 history.
Henry Thornton took absurd figures of 5/3. Wes Agar took 4/6. Matt Short chipped in with 1/5. Sydney Thunder’s Chris Green, who made a six-ball duck, faced the most balls.
The positive? Sydney Thunder have figured out a way to limit Rashid Khan’s impact.
Ensuring he doesn’t bowl.
21 – Turkey vs Czech Republic, Continental Cup, 2019
One thing Sydney Thunder can hold onto is that their 124-run defeat wasn’t as bad as Turkey’s 257-run loss against Czech Republic in 2019. Turkey were bowled out for 21 chasing the mammoth 278/4, with only Mehmat Sert crossing double figures.
Sameera Waththage dominated with 3/4. Honey Gori took 3/13. Sudesh Wickramasekara also chipped in on the action with 2/0 in nine balls.
26 – Lesotho vs Uganda, T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier, 2021
Uganda is a team to keep an eye on. They continue to make strides in international cricket. Lesotho were no match for them, with only Samir Patel crossing double figures in a total of 26.
Left-arm seamer Dinesh Nakrani took a remarkable 6/7 in his four overs to dismantle the Lesotho batting lineup in Kigali.
28 – Turkey vs Luxembourg, Continental Cup, 2019
Turkey again. This time, no player crossed double figures as they were rolled for 28 in 11.3 overs by Luxembourg at Ilfox County. Right-arm seamer Ankush Nana took 5/6 in 15 balls, while Atif Kamal and Suhail Sadiq chipped in with two wickets each.
