Cricket News: Super11 announced as title sponsor of 2023 Asia Cup | Super11 unveiled as major sponsor of the Asia Cup

New fantasy gaming platform Super11 has been unveiled as the title sponsor of the 2023 Asia Cup. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the partnership on their social media accounts ahead of the start of the tournament.

“The battle for Asian Supremacy is upon us! Presenting our official title sponsor for the Men’s ODI Asia Cup 2023, @Super11games!,” the tweet read.

Super11 is a new fantasy platform that will be launched with the start of the Asia Cup. Omar Khan, Super11 CEO, said “It is with great pride that Super 11 has signed on to be the Title sponsor of the Asia Cup.”

“With the growing popularity of cricket tournaments like the Asia Cup it will allow fans to see the best teams battle it out in the longer format of the game.”

“Already the buzz around the Asia Cup and the India vs Pakistan games is at an all-time high and we are confident that this association will help in bringing fans closer to the game that we all love.”

Also at the presentation ceremony was Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, who is a brand ambassador.

2023 Asia Cup Details

The 2023 Asia Cup will be played in the ODI format ahead of the World Cup. Sri Lanka are the defending champions, beating Pakistan in last year’s final, which was played ahead of the T20 World Cup.

This tournament is co-hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Sri Lanka will host nine matches, while Pakistan will host four.

The competition will begin with two groups of three teams. India, Pakistan and Nepal make up Group A. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan make up the group of death that is Group B.

The top two teams in either group will qualify for the Super Four stage. There, each team will play each other once, with the top two then qualifying for the final.

  • Tournament start date: August 31, Pakistan vs Nepal, Multan.
  • Super Four start date: September 6, Lahore.
  • Final: September 17, Colombo.
