Cricket News: RCB vs LSG Twitter Reactions: Nicholas Pooran pulls off a miracle at Chinnaswamy | Reactions to RCB vs LSG

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), driven by incredible quickfire half-centuries by Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran, defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday in a final-ball thriller.

Down 23/3 in four overs, Stoinis first injected a lot of power into the LSG chase with six boundaries and five sixes. However, it was Pooran’s herculean effort in which he took merely 19 deliveries to hit 62 runs that helped Lucknow get within touching distance of the target by the time he was dismissed in the 17th over.

Pooran slammed seven sixes and notched four boundaries as the KL Rahul-led side particularly took down the trio of Wayne Parnell, Harshal Patel and Karn Sharma.

A lot of frenzy unfolded in the final over with Harshal Patel attempting to run Ravi Bishnoi out at the non-striker’s end and then Dinesh Karthik fumbling and making a meal out of what could have been a straightforward chance to hit the stumps as Bishnoi and Avesh Khan ran a single off a bye.

“Over the past couple of years, I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to finish games. Today also I wanted to finish the game, but got out in the end. I hope this is the season for me, in a good space and state of mind. Just want to enjoy my cricket, play with a smile and entertain, and win games for my team,” Pooran said in the aftermath of the game.

Earlier, Virat Kohli (61), Faf du Plessis (79) and Glenn Maxwell (59) hit a combined 15 sixes and 12 boundaries to take the home side to 212 in a sublime display of stroke play and power-hitting. Here are some of the most viral Twitter reactions from the game.

LSG will next face the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Lucknow on April 15. RCB will host the Delhi Capitals (DC) on that very same afternoon.
