Durban Super Giants (DSG) will lock horns against the Joburg Super Kings (JSK). Kingsmead, Durban, will host this game on 30th December 2025 at 9 PM IST.

Durban’s last game got washed out against MI Cape Town, but they won the first game against them by 15 runs. Devon Conway (64 runs), Kane Williamson (40 runs), Aiden Markram (35 runs), and Evan Jones (33 runs) helped Durban score 232 runs batting first.

Their bowlers then held their nerves and restricted MICT to 217 runs. Eathan Bosch picked up four wickets, while Kwena Maphaka and Noor Ahmad also bowled well. The Super Giants will look to continue their good form in this match.

Meanwhile, the Joburg Super Kings also won their first game of the season against the Pretoria Capitals by 22 runs. Their batting depth came to use as Akeal Hosein’s blistering cameo (22* off 10) helped them post a total of 168 runs.

The bowlers then bowled well and restricted PC to 146/9. Duan Jansen (4 wickets) was brilliant for his side. Richard Gleeson (2 wickets) and Wiaan Mulder (1 wicket) also bowled well. The Super Kings will have to pull up their socks against the Super Giants.

Kingsmead Durban Pitch Report and Weather

A good batting track will await both sides for this game. The ball will come onto the bat nicely, allowing the batters to play their shots. The pacers will get some assistance with the new ball for the first few overs, and the spinners also did well at this venue in the last five years. (economy 7.60). Expect the teams to prefer chasing.

It will be a cloudy day with a 10% chance of rain at the start of the game. But, we should get a full game.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for DSG vs JSK: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Jos Buttler scored 20 runs, and he looked in good touch. He will be a top fantasy pick, as we all know what he can do on his day.
  • Buttler will be a key batter for DSG. He has scored 1025 runs in 28 innings at an average of 46.60, striking at 153.70 with 10 fifties to his name in T20s this year.
  • Heinrich Klaasen (22 runs) also looked in decent touch in the first game. He will bat at 4 or 5 depending on his entry point. Klaasen is the highest run-scorer at Durban in the SA20 league.
  • Klaasen at Durban (SA20): 396 runs at an average of 33 and a strike rate of 174.45, including four fifties. He will be an excellent differential C/VC choice.
  • Ryan Rickelton was fabulous in the first game, and he loves playing at Durban. He will be a must in your fantasy teams and a top C/VC pick.
  • Ryan Rickelton at Durban (SA20): 105 runs in 2 innings, average 55, strike rate 175 with one fifty.

Key batter picks:

  • Devon Conway looked in sublime touch for his 64 runs in the first game. He was on 24* off just 13 in the last game before it was interrupted by rain. Conway will be a top fantasy pick and a good C/VC choice too.
  • Faf du Plessis scored 2 off 8 in the first game, but he’s one of the best batters in the SA20 and the best for his team. But Faf’s record at Durban is concerning: 47 runs in 3 innings at an average of 15.67.
  • Kane Williamson, at the top, will look to exploit the field restrictions, and he can score big if he gets going. Kane has also looked positive at the crease in the last two matches.
  • Rilee Rossouw scored 48 runs in the first game against Pretoria. He looked in good touch and will be a key batter for JSK. Rossouw can take on any bowling attack on his day.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Aiden Markram averages 14.67 in three innings at Durban in SA20 for his 44 runs. But he’s been in great form recently and will bowl a few overs too. Markram will be a must in your fantasy teams.
  • Wiaan Mulder scored 43 runs and picked up a wicket in the first match. He will contribute with both bat and ball for JSK and will be a top C/VC option in fantasy cricket.
  • Donovan Ferreira is keeping wickets, which affects his fantasy value, as he can fetch plenty of points with his bowling and fielding alone, but despite that, he will be a great fantasy pick.
  • Ferreira averages 56 at a strike rate of 172.31, including a fifty at this venue. He has 112 runs in three games.

Key bowler picks:

  • Noor Ahmad has the most wickets at Durban in SA20, with 14 wickets in eight games at a strike rate of 12.57 and an economy of 6.75. He is a genuine wicket-taker and will be a must in your fantasy teams.
  • Akeal Hosein will be another must-pick in fantasy cricket. He showed his batting skills in the last match and picked up a wicket as well. Durban’s batting is filled with right-hand batters, and Akeal will fancy his chances against them.
  • Eathan Bosch bowled well in the last game. He will bowl in the powerplay and then towards the end of the innings. A top fantasy pick, especially while bowling first.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

  • David Wiese will bowl the key overs for Durban, and he can tonk the ball on his day. Wiese scored 9* runs and picked up a wicket in the first match.

  • Matthew de Villiers
  • Shubham Ranjane
  • Kwena Maphaka
  • Richard Gleeson (bowl first)

SA20 2025/26 6th Match: DSG vs JSK Match Prediction: Who will win?

Durban Super Giants have a quality batting unit, but they may struggle if they lose 2-3 wickets early, as after Markram, none of the batters gives that confidence. While JSK looks a little light on their bowling, as Janco Smith and Dian Forrester are quite inexperienced.

DSG, too, needs to be disciplined with the ball. But considering quality and team balance, Durban Super Giants should come out victorious in this match.
