It has been a while since funny cricket tweets, given the busy cricketing calendar over the last few weeks.
Now, with more action coming over the weekend, a horribly one-sided India vs West Indies Test is the perfect time to highlight some simply terrific tweets from the start of the Asia Cup till now. When laughing so much, it always takes effort to remember to screenshot the tweet and save it, such is the quality out there.
So, without further ado, here are 15 of my favourite cricket tweets over the last few weeks!
Before Asia Cup 2018, Pakistan Ali said he will aim to take all ten wickets against India.
He did, according to @_iam_piku. If you think it’s photoshopped, you’re a hater! Hilarious tweet.
You just knew that when Hasan Ali came out with his statements, fans were going to be all over it.
@Holdthedoor19 always comes up with beauties, and here was another! Again, haters will say it’s photoshopped…
The Asia Cup 2018 Final was a classic, but the ICC = BCCI claims were out again by some fans.
I love good use of Photoshop, and it was on show by @CrickPotato1! How on earth could Liton have been given out? Pure cheating by the third umpire and absolutely everyone involved in cricket around the world. (PS, the decision could have went in favour of Liton, but it was far from a shocking decision)!
@imsgshinde warned us all.
This man’s Twitter following is growing by the day, and it is easy to see why! The 50/50 call prompted outrage on Twitter, with some actually suggesting that decided the result. Forget the painful last 30 overs of the Bangladesh innings, from a batting point of view…
A shocking decision and a chucker?! Absolutely hilarious stuff from @connect2ns.
PS, some fans actually claimed Kedar Jadhav chucks the ball. I absolutely love Bangladesh Cricket, but some fans can make you laugh…
@PUNchayatiii just about wins the internet.
Expectations among millions of passionate fans rise, together with the required run rate. A beautiful love story!
Well, maybe @Maganlal1303 wins the internet instead.
Mohammad Amir went wicketless in a tough Asia Cup campaign, and this tweet was really harsh….
….on Pradeep Sangwan.
@billz_25 has fire in his Twitter name, which is what this tweet is.
What a beautiful, motivational tweet! I had a great day after reading this, finding a new lease of life! Mr. Benkenstein could be on borrowed time…
Journalists, even in Australia, always try create some controversy out of nothing.
After the Asia Cup, and ahead of the India vs West Indies Tests, there was somewhat of a Rohit v Virat battle on Twitter. @imsgshinde put it perfectly – the media will always make something out of whatever the players say! A good chuckle.
Virender Sehwag was one hell of a player, but I can’t agree with him on this.
@Jimmy_TheOne put it perfectly. We’ll be seeing more ads than cricket. Perfection for broadcasters, though, right? That’s all that matters…
@VKaranam94 with a suggestion for KL Rahul’s new Instagram Bio.
Another poor review from KL got Twitter going crazy. Nearly spat out my water at this one!
Almost spat out my water at this one, too! In the day and age of social media, this is so damn true.
@ImAbhishek7_, this is an absolute beauty. Who cares about runs? Snapchat streaks is where it’s at.
Hoping @Dobie_M is OK after Zimbabwe let him down badly in the recently concluded 2nd ODI v South Africa. It wasn’t even close in the end!
Absolutely hilarious stuff. Were the lawyers able to help?!
Funny Cricket Tweet #14: That Bloemfontein pitch…
The Bloemfontein pitch for the 2nd South Africa vs Zimbabwe ODI left plenty to be desired. Balls were rearing up, others shooting through at shin height.
@SampathStats summarised it absolutely perfectly…
That chaos has started even earlier this time, with West Indies a mere 555 runs behind India, with a mighty four wickets in hand. Absolutely hilarious @pavilionopinion!

So, there we have it. More great laughs thanks to great fans of the great game that is cricket!
Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did. If you feel you are tweeting absolute fire, send your tweets to me to be included in the next edition.
Thanks for reading!
