Gujarat Titans (GT) have defied the law of averages in IPL 2025. Their top three have been mighty prolific, with the consistency of Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill praised far and wide. Also, Jos Buttler has been magnificent at three, meaning the GT middle order has not often been called on in times of difficulty.

If form is anything to go by, GT’s top order should have another good outing. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have fallen off a cliff, losing five of their past six matches to confirm their elimination from IPL 2025. Their bowlers have leaked three 200+ totals in a row, while their batting lineup still relies too much on a top order that has performed well, but not to the level of GT.
