IND vs AUS 3rd Test Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | IND vs AUS 3rd Test Dream11 Prediction Today | Indore Pitch Report

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will remain in India once again. However, what sense of pride can Australia show? After finding themselves well and truly in the game at Delhi, they collapsed in a heap to surrender the trophy in the meekest way possible.

There is no doubt playing the high-quality Indian spinners in their own conditions is a huge ask. But, Australia’s insistence on playing shots they aren’t comfortable with (…. cough, sweep) is making the task all the more difficult. Steve Smith, who will step in as captain for this Test, has called for calmness at the crease. Spot on.

For India, the biggest priority is more runs from their top six. Rohit Sharma has looked in superb touch, but there has been a reliance on the lower order to get the team out of some trouble. The spin trio have also been magnificent with the bat, and they no doubt hold the key once again to keeping Australia well at bay to seal a 3-0 series lead.

India:

  • Rohit Sharma has struck 183 runs in three innings this series. He averages a mammoth 71.96 in 22 home Tests.
  • Virat Kohli has smashed a Test double ton at Indore. India’s number four was looking in terrific form at Delhi, especially in the first innings where he made 44.
  • Ravindra Jadeja is something else. He has struck 96 runs in two innings this series, along with 17 wickets (leading wicket-taker).
  • Against Australia, Jadeja has taken 80 wickets in just 14 Tests at an average of 17.23.

Australia:

  • Speaking of Steve Smith, he is vital to Australia’s hopes. He still averages an impressive 52.21 in India. Also, he averages 67.73 in 36 matches as captain.
  • Marnus Labuschagne is Australia’s leading run-scorer in this series (119). Peter Handscomb is next with 109, making scores of 31 and 72* in the first innings of the two matches.
  • Nathan Lyon took 5/67 in the last Test, and will also be crucial to Australia’s hopes. In India, Lyon has taken 42 wickets in nine Tests at an average of 30.52.
  • Todd Murphy is Australia’s leading wicket-taker in this series (10).
  • Mitchell Starc has taken just seven wickets in four Tests in India at an average of 50.14. Regardless, if Starc plays, he will be key with his ability to reverse swing the ball and also dismiss the lower order as quickly as possible.

Holkar Cricket Stadium Indore Pitch Report and Weather

Hot and clear conditions are forecast right throughout the match. The surface looks very similar to the Nagpur pitch, with some green tinge in the middle and bare patches at each end. It looks very dry. The ball should turn early in the match once again, so first innings runs are crucial.
