IND vs SA 5th T20 Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | IND vs SA 5th T20 Dream11 Prediction Today | India vs South Africa 5th T20 Key Players | Bengaluru Pitch Report
From 2-0 down, India have fought back brilliantly to level the series at 2-2. And their victory last game at Rajkot would have provided them with a great deal of satisfaction as they recovered from a difficult start to post a strong total on a tricky pitch. The ageless Dinesh Karthik and excellent Hardik Pandya were key to that as both showed the kind of form they displayed in the recent IPL.
In a series where the surfaces have largely been challenging for batting, the decider takes place at a ground that is known for its batting-friendly features. Bengaluru usually is a belter of a batting pitch, with the shorter boundaries also an advantage for those yielding the willow. With rain around, there is the possibility of a shortened match which could bring out the shots earlier, too.
Should the weather be kind enough, we will be witness to what could be a thrilling decider. The Proteas threw the first two punches but India have struck back, with the hosts now looking the more settled with the tourists facing a few injury concerns. This match could come down to a brilliant individual performance, and both sides have the kind of players who can pull it off.
IND vs SA 5th T20 Possible Playing 11
India look settled and could stick with the same XI for the decider. However, they need more from their top order, particularly Rishabh Pant.
India: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Ishan Kishan, 3. Shreyas Iyer, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Hardik Pandya, 6. Dinesh Karthik, 7. Axar Patel, 8. Harshal Patel, 9. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 10. Avesh Khan, 11. Yuzvendra Chahal
South Africa captain Temba Bavuma retired hurt in the fourth match due to an elbow injury. His participation in this match is unknown at the time of writing. Also, Kagiso Rabada and Wayne Parnell missed the last match with injuries, so it remains to be seen if they are fit.
South Africa: 1. Temba Bavuma (c)/Reeza Hendricks, 2. Quinton de Kock (wk), 3. Dwaine Pretorius, 4. Rassie van der Dussen, 5. Heinrich Klaasen, 6. David Miller, 7. Marco Jansen/Wayne Parnell, 8. Keshav Maharaj, 9. Anrich Nortje, 10. Lungi Ngidi/Kagiso Rabada, 11. Tabraiz Shamsi
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
India:
- Ishan Kishan is the leading run-scorer in this series. He has struck two fifties in four matches with a total of 191 runs at a strike rate of 146.92.
- Hardik Pandya is next with 117 runs at an average of 58.50 and strike rate of 153.94. In T20s at Bengaluru, Hardik has struck 147 runs in seven innings at an average of 36.75 and strike rate of 154.74.
- Dinesh Karthik played a blinder in Rajkot (55 off 27 balls). Interestingly, DK has a poor record in T20s on this ground (18 inns, 278 runs, avg. 16.35, SR 129.30), but he has the form to turn this around.
- Yuzvendra Chahal returns to a ground he had wonderful success at for RCB. He easily has the most wickets of any bowler at Bengaluru (57) at an average of 20.67 and economy of 7.84.
- In the last two games, Chahal has displayed the kind of form that saw him take the most wickets by a spinner in a single IPL season. He took 3/20 and 2/21 in the third and fourth T20Is.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar is conceding just 6.07 runs per over in this series. He will be key in the powerplay, especially against Quinton de Kock whom he has dismissed once in ten balls in T20 Internationals.
- Harshal Patel is the series’ leading wicket-taker (7) and Avesh Khan enjoyed his breakthrough match in T20Is last match (4/18).
South Africa:
- Quinton de Kock is crucial to South Africa’s hopes. He has experience playing at the M Chinnaswamy and has an excellent record in T20s on this ground: 11 inns, 463 runs, avg. 46.30, SR 147.45.
- David Miller in run chases in T20s this year: 13 innings, 416 runs, avg. 104, SR 155.22.
- Heinrich Klaasen is South Africa’s leading run-scorer in this series (118) due to his brilliant 81 in the second match.
- Marco Jansen (if picked) will have a key role in the powerplay, especially against Gaikwad. The India opener struggles against left-arm seam in T20s: 24 inns, 169 balls faced, 224 runs scored, 12 dismissals, avg. 18.67.
- Dwaine Pretorius is South Africa’s leading wicket-taker this series (5) and is likely to have the role of pinch-hitter at three once again. He scored 29 off 13 balls in the first match of this series.
- Kagiso Rabada has taken seven wickets in two T20s at the Chinnaswamy. Also, he conceded just 6.75 per over in the first three T20Is of this series. The Proteas will be hoping he’s fit for this one.

IND vs SA 5th T20 Match Prediction: Who will win?
India look more settled and should win this match, weather permitting. However, given the ground’s history of being good for batting, the team batting first needs to aim for 170+ to have a good chance.
