India-Australia tour all set to begin; full schedule set | India tour of Australia all set to go, with schedule confirmed by CA and BCCI
The highly anticipated India-Australia tour is all set to begin in less than a month, confirmed by both the cricket boards. The teams are expected to leave on November 12 after the IPL Final from Dubai and enter a Sydney hotel for quarantine. In a video conference meeting, All-India Senior Selection Committee finalized the playing XI for three T20Is, three ODIs, and four Test matches.
Jay Shah, BCCI secretary said that four additional bowlers Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi, Ishan Porel and T. Natarajan – will travel with the Indian contingent. “The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor the progress of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma”, he said.
Two ODI matches will be played at SCG ground and one at Manuka Oval from November 27 to December 2, after the teams complete their isolation period. Couple of T20 matches are scheduled at SCG will again host a couple of T20 matches from December 6 to December 8 and one at Manuka Oval on December 4. The Test matches will be held from December 17 to January 19 at Adelaide Oval, MCG, SCG and Gabba respectively.

The Boxing Day Test is expected to go ahead at the MCG, with a crowd of 25,000. “We are working with the Victorian Government and the Melbourne Cricket Club on plans to safely host spectators at the iconic event with details to be confirmed in due course”, Hockley said. The board is working with Australian government to ensure total safety of the community as well as the participants of the game with relevant directions and biosecurity protocols.
