RR vs SRH Preview Dream11. Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad Preview Dream11 Prediction
Early in the tournament, it looked like four or five sides were realistically in contention for a playoffs place. However, the competition has had its surprises over the last couple of weeks, and with the home stretch now here, margin for error is minimal for a number of teams.
One of them is Rajasthan Royals. Three wins in their last five matches have kept them in contention for a finals place. However, they will now be without their England representatives (bar Liam Livingstone). Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes have now all departed, which increases the challenge further for RR. But, all distractions must be put to the side, as they sit two points behind fourth placed SRH with a worse net run rate and an extra game played. Can they keep their hopes alive?
Sunrisers Hyderabad had a really awkward phase of the season where middle order collapses were the norm. They have picked up some form over the last week or so, and have built up a very strong net run rate which could give them a crucial advantage in the race for a playoffs spot. Jonny Bairstow has now departed for England duty, which is a blow, but Kane Williamson is back after missing the last game due to personal leave. With David Warner due to depart IPL 2019 soon too, can SRH pick up a crucial win?

Key to a RR win
Tweaks to RR’s playing XIs and strategy over the last few games have reaped rewards. Ajinkya Rahane and Steve Smith seem to be playing with more freedom, which has rubbed off onto the rest of the team. They will be key here especially after Steve Smith failed in Kolkata last start, along with Sanju Samson, who is threatening to reach his best form. With Riyan Parag, Liam Livingstone and Stuart Binny all capable of striking lusty blows in the middle order, a strong platform for RR can work wonders.
Also, how well will RR cope without Jofra Archer? He has been a rock for them with the ball in IPL 2019, which puts onus on all the bowlers to contribute. Varun Aaron was excellent in his return last game, but the challenge will be to follow it up with another big effort. Can RR get the better of David Warner early? What about Kane Williamson? With Oshane Thomas and Shreyas Gopal also capable of wickets, RR need to test Manish Pandey’s ability to follow up a big effort vs CSK, as well as the SRH middle order.
Key to a SRH win
David Warner has struck five half-centuries in a row. He and Jonny Bairstow have been central to everything good for SRH in IPL 2019. However, Bairstow has now left for England, so Warner’s contribution is extra important. He will likely be joined at the top by Kane Williamson (if SRH choose to not go with Martin Guptill), who can complement Warner nicely. Williamson hasn’t yet had the chance to get going in this tournament, so the time is now with a playoffs spot up for grabs. With Manish Pandey outstanding and Vijay Shankar threatening vs CSK, a strong opening stand followed up well by the middle order is the need of the hour for SRH.
Also, can SRH create pressure for RR’s middle order? RR’s top three will be crucial to their chances today, so early wickets can enable SRH to target RR’s middle order with spin. Riyan Parag will be a key wicket in the middle order as he continues to play beautifully, along with the likes of Liam Livingstone and Ashton Turner (if picked). SRH can open the game up nicely if they get RR trying to force the pace against the likes of Rashid Khan and Shakib Al Hasan.

Match Prediction
Crucial game for both sides today.
It looks a tough proposition for RR without key players. But, they will fight and make this a close game. However, SRH might have just a bit too much experience and take this one out.
