Jason Holder joins SRH as Mitchell Marsh ruled out of IPL 2020
In big news out of IPL 2020, Jason Holder, West Indies captain and one of the world’s top all-rounders, will join Sunrisers Hyderabad for the 2020 season. Holder will come in as a replacement for Australian all-rounder Mitch Marsh, who is out of the tournament due to an ankle injury suffered in SRH’s loss to RCB.
The West Indian all-rounder has played just 11 IPL matches, with the last being in 2016. However, Holder’s game has come on leaps and bounds since then, and can offer significant value to an SRH side that looks to have a very brittle middle order.

SRH’s official Twitter account took the time to wish Mitch Marsh a speedy recovery. “Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out due to injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Jason Holder will replace him for #Dream11IPL 2020,” read the tweet.
SRH’s new recruit will likely need to quarantine for six days on his arrival to the UAE. If the case, Holder could be available for selection for SRH’s match against Chennai Super Kings on October 3.
Before then, Hyderabad will take on Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, which are two important games as the men in orange won’t want to fall too far behind too early in a competitive league. Holder’s arrival can provide them with some crucial depth with both bat and ball – something they were lacking vs RCB.
