Defeat at Eden Gardens against Kolkata Knight Riders will see KKR leapfrog Sanju Samson’s team, which will leave the Royals in a very precarious position for their final two games.

• Andre Russell helped lead KKR to victory against Punjab with a trademark Dre Russ innings. He will be seeking to improve on his record against RR: 9 inns, 170 runs, avg. 24.29, SR 170.00.
• Russell has dominated Yuzvendra Chahal. In 37 deliveries in the IPL, Russell has hit 80 runs and has been dismissed just once.
• Rinku Singh hit the winning runs once again. The left-hander is KKR’s leading run-scorer this season with 337 at an average of 56.16 and strike rate of 151.12.
• Rinku when batting second in the IPL: 12 inns, 334 runs, avg. 47.7, SR 165.3.
• Varun Chakravarthy is enjoying a dream run and can target the Royals’ recent tendency to lose middle overs wickets. The spinner has taken seven wickets in his past four matches.
• Varun has dismissed Jos Buttler twice in 13 deliveries in the IPL. However, Buttler has hit 28 runs. This could be an interesting battle.
