Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore will host match number 15 between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi as PSL resumes after a one day break. Both sides are on four points in the points table, with Zalmi playing a match more than Qalandars and hence Qalandars (3rd) are placed ahead of Zalmi (4th) because of net run rate.
Qalandars come into this match after a big 63-run win over Gladiators, whereas Zalmi enter the contest after a poor six-wicket loss against Islamabad. The batting departments of both teams are looking in good touch and contributing equally to the team. The bowling department of Qalandars, filled with stars, is the main reason for their success so far. The Zalmi bowlers have also been effective at stages and would look to continue the form.
The two well balanced sides are ready to make, the second game of the day, an epic clash. The battle in the points table is heating up as half of the tournament will be done by the end of this game.

Lahore Qalandars
- Mirza Tahir Baig has been very impressive in his maiden PSL season. The opener is the top run scorer for his side so far with 108 runs in three innings.
- Fakhar Zaman has scored 103 runs striking at 151.47 thus far and is looking in good touch. At Lahore, he has scored 443 runs at average and strike rate of 29.5 and 132.6 respectively.
- David Wiese has been economical thus far with a match winning performance to his name. He can come up with the one as Zalmi is his one of the favorite teams to play against. He has taken ten wickets in seven innings against PES and also scored a few batting cameos in the past.
- Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi came up with fantastic figures of 3-22 in his last game against Gladiators, and looked in good rhythm. While playing against Zalmi, his class doubles up. He has 16 wickets in ten outings so far with an economy of 6.45.
- Rashid Khan joined the side in the last clash and is bowling well. He has his PSL career best bowling figures, 5/20, against Zalmi.
Peshawar Zalmi
- Babar Azam is in fantastic form as the Zalmi captain has scored 171 runs in four innings thus far in PSL season 8. While playing against Qalandars, he has scored 463 runs in 13 innings and would definitely look to add more at the batting friendly venue.
- Mohammad Haris played a wonderful knock of 40 (21) in their last game and is looking in good touch since the beginning of the season. Peshawar team would expect more such good starts in the powerplay from him.
- James Neesham has been a standout performer for the Zalmi side with four wickets and 72 runs to his name. He would be the one of the main key players for his side if they want to jump up in the points table.
- Leg Break bowler Usman Qadir is the player to watch out for in this game as he is bowling in good rhythm. He has scalped three wickets so far this season. He can be a threat for the opposition batting lineup in the middle overs. He has taken three wickets in three innings against Qalandars.
