- Andre Russell is the top run-scorer in MLC 2023 (169) at an average of 84.50 and strike rate of 164.07. His matchup with AJ Tye at the death could work in his favour, given he has strong numbers against him: 35 balls, 63 runs, three dismissals, SR 186.
- Jason Roy has scored 134 off 84 balls against left-arm orthodox this year, with four dismissals. An interesting battle against Imad Wasim could await us.
- Rilee Rossouw prefers to bat first in T20s. Since the start of 2022, Rossouw has scored 988 runs in franchise T20s at an average of 32.9 and strike rate of 159.6.
- Sunil Narine has excellent numbers against Quinton de Kock in T20s: 54 balls, 51 runs, three dismissals.
- Adam Zampa is the second-highest wicket-taker in MLC 2023 (7) at an average of 18.71 and strike rate of 12.85.

- Quinton de Kock found form in the last game with 53 off 36 balls. If he gets going here, he could go big against an LAKR attack that has been expensive for the most part.
- Across ODIs and T20Is, de Kock has scored 64 runs off 35 balls against Zampa (one dismissal).
- Heinrich Klaasen goes from strength to strength. His game against spin continues to amaze. He has smashed 436 runs at an average of 109.00 and strike rate of 184 vs. spin in T20s this year.
- Wayne Parnell was outstanding against TSK. He blew them away, finishing with 5/20. One key battle we may see today is Parnell vs. Roy as the opener was dismissed by left-arm seam in the last game.
