The Mumbai Indians had their task cut out of buying overseas pacer and spin-bowling backups and the 5-time champions nailed it. Krunal Pandya failed to be among the wickets as he scalped just 6 in 15 matches and hence the franchise went for Piyush Chawla.
Adam Milne has been economical at the death in various T20 leagues around the world in the past few years and getting him for 3.4 crores might turn out to be a steal. In fact, Milne’s economy rate of 7.45 at the death is the best in T20 leagues since 2016. A good pickup indeed.

Also, the franchise released Coulter-Nile as he was bought for 8 crores in the previous auction and bought him back for a cheaper price of 5 crores. James Neesham was sold to the franchise and he was bagged as an backup option for Kieron Pollard and Hardik pandya.
Towards the end of the auction, the franchise bought South African uncapped pacer, Marco Jasen and Indian uncapped players Arjun Tendulkar and Rudhvir Charak for INR 20 lakhs each.
IPL 2021 Prediction:
The two-time defending champions didn’t really tinker much with their squad in the first place and the additions made are as good as or better than the previous edition. Other than the law of average catching up, MI are once again the favourites to lift the trophy.
