We are waiting for a thriller, and this could be it as Mumbai Indians (MI) host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 20th match of IPL 2025. In big news, Jasprit Bumrah is available for selection, with the champion fast bowler joining the MI squad over the weekend.

Mumbai Indians, who have lost twice, need Bumrah (if picked vs RCB) to deliver as quickly as possible. In their last match, they lost to the Lucknow Super Giants after being in a very comfortable position at one point. Tilak Verma (25 off 23 deliveries) failed to get going in the middle overs. Suryakumar Yadav (67 runs) and Naman Dhir (46 runs) were the best batters for MI. 

The form of Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks is a concern. Mitchell Santner too has failed to make an impact after four games. Hardik Pandya has also looked rusty with the bat. Vignesh Puthur has bowled well but MI will have to regroup and perform as a team to win this game. 

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru lost their last game against Gujarat Titans by 8 wickets. The batters failed to get going but still Jitesh Sharma (33 runs), Liam Livingstone (54 runs) and Tim David (33 runs) helped them to a fighting total. 

Phil Salt and Devdutt Padikkal need to score runs consistently for RCB to do well. A big knock is due from Virat Kohli as well. Despite scoring a fifty, Liam Livingstone has been far from his best with the bat. RCB will hope for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood to do well in this game as the conditions will suit them.

He’s bowling today, so all good.”

Wankhede Stadium Mumbai Pitch Report and Weather

We saw plenty of movement with the new ball in the first game at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL 2025. There was extravagant movement in the second innings. Apart from that, the pitch was an excellent one for batting. New ball bowlers and middle order batters will dominate this game.
