Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns against each other in what promises to be a thrilling 33rd match of IPL 2025. Both sides have won two of the six games they’ve played, but MI is seventh in the points table due to a better net run rate. SRH is in the 9th position. This is an important game as both teams are playing catchup and can take crucial points off the other.
MI defeated the Delhi Capitals in a thriller of a game by 12 runs. Karn Sharma was the star for MI as he picked up three crucial wickets after DC got off to a flying start. The batters have done well but the form of Rohit Sharma and Will Jacks is a concern, and Hardik too needs to be consistent with the bat.
Bowling-wise, Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar have struggled to do what was expected from them with the new ball. Jasprit Bumrah is easing back into things. But despite all this, MI have shown promising signs that they can put a winning streak together.
Sunrisers Hyderabad batters finally clicked after the first game. Abhishek Sharma (141 runs) scored a daddy hundred and helped his side chase down a massive total of 245 against PBKS. Travis Head (66 runs) also looked in good touch. These two are the key batters for SRH and their current form will be a big boost for the side.
However, it’s high time that Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy start performing. Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma have been in good form in the middle.
Bowling hasn’t been the strong suit for SRH. Mohammed Shami has gone for runs in almost every game now and Pat Cummins too has been expensive. Harshal Patel bowled well in the last game and Zeeshan Ansari has been impressive. SRH has added Smaran Ravichandran to their squad and they may play him straightaway in this game to further bolster their batting.
In this article, we will look at the possible playing XIIs, Wankhede pitch report, fantasy cricket tips and Dream11 Prediction for the 33rd match of IPL 2025.

Wankhede Stadium Mumbai Pitch Report and Weather
There has been movement for the pacers with the new ball at Wankhede this season. After that, the batters have dominated the game. So new ball bowlers and middle-order batters will be important in fantasy cricket (don’t drop all the openers). Spinners will get little to no help and there will be some effects of dew as well.
The weather will be clear with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 29 degrees Celsius at the start of the match and dew is expected in this game.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for MI vs RCB: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Note: Try to pick more batters and all-rounders if you are playing on Dream11. The new point system rewards the batters heavily.
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
- Heinrich Klaasen will be a must in your fantasy teams. He’s been in good form this season and feels like a big score is around the corner for him. He has 136 runs in five innings against MI at an average of 34 and strike rate of 200.
- Ryan Rickelton has made starts in the last few matches and will be a good fantasy pick. He scored his maiden IPL fifty at Wankhede and will fancy his chances in this match. Rickelton will have to be cautious against Shami with the new ball.
- Ishan Kishan has failed in all the games after his century in the first match. This will be his first game against Mumbai Indians since 2017. Kishan knows the conditions at Wankhede well and will be a good fantasy pick
Key batter picks:
- Suryakumar Yadav has 434 runs in 17 innings against SRH at an average of 36.20 and strike rate of 150.70. This includes one fifty and a century that came last year. Surya is in solid form and will be a top C/VC pick in fantasy cricket.
- Tilak Varma scored a match-winning fifty in the last game. He has 146 runs in four innings against SRH at an average of 48.70 and strike rate of 158.70 including a fifty.
- Travis Head may have some difficulties against Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah if the ball swings but he will look to attack straightaway. He can either score big or get out cheaply. He scored 110 runs in two games against MI in IPL 2024 with a highest score of 62.
Top all-rounder picks:
- Hardik Pandya averages 16.50 for his 198 runs in 14 innings against SRH but he has looked in good form currently and he will fancy his chances against current SRH bowling attack. Pandya will fetch points from both bat and ball which makes him a top C/VC option, especially while bowling first.
- Abhishek Sharma has 146 runs in nine innings against MI. He scored 74 runs against them in two innings last season including a score of 63. Abhishek scored a match-winning century (141 runs) against Punjab in the last match. He will be a must in your fantasy teams.
Key bowler picks:
- Pat Cummins has 15 wickets against MI in 11 innings at an economy of 8.33 and has a couple of fifties against them as well. He will be a must in your fantasy teams.
- Trent Boult has 16 wickets in 12 games against SRH. He will fancy his chances in this game with the new ball as the conditions will help him. Boult will be a good fantasy pick.
- Harshal Patel has 24 wickets against the Mumbai Indians in 14 innings at a strike rate of 11.50 including a 5-wicket haul. He picked up four wickets in the last game against the Punjab Kings and will be a must in your fantasy teams, especially while bowling first.
