The Overton twins are back playing together. Melbourne Stars signed Craig Overton and Jamie Overton prepare for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) season.
Jamie joins the Stars following three BBL seasons with the Adelaide Strikers. Meanwhile, Craig is set to play his first match in the competition after an excellent summer in England in all formats for Somerset and Trent Rockets.
The move also brings the brothers back together after Jamie departed Somerset for Surrey in 2020. The pair will make BBL history with Craig and Jamie becoming the first twins to feature in the tournament.

Glad to have the Overton brothers – Melbourne Stars GM
The Overtons are one of the major changes to the Melbourne Stars squad. They will join New Zealand batter Finn Allen, who was snapped up in the biggest deal in BBL history while Australia Test offspinner Todd Murphy has also been added to the squad.
“We’re glad we can get the twins together,” Stars general manager James Rosengarten said. “They’ll both bring some skill to the team.
“It’s a special story to have twin brothers sign together and one we hope our fans are going to enjoy. But more than anything else, they both bring a really valuable skill set to the club.
“Jamie and Craig are both genuinely quick bowlers and will no doubt be a problem for many batters this summer. They are big hitters too, so we are ready for some fireworks at the back end of the batting innings, and we think this dual signing is going to set us up really well for success.”
