Cricket News: New Zealand-Pakistan-Bangladesh Tri-series schedule & details | What is the schedule for the New Zealand T20I Tri-Series?

The T20 World Cup is due to begin this month and most of the teams are in the final stages of their preparation heading up to the major tournament. Pakistan just completed a marathon seven-match T20I series vs England and will now be squaring off against Bangladesh and New Zealand in a tri-series starting off from 7th October in Christchurch.

As a part of the tournament, the three sides will play each other twice before the finale that is scheduled to take place at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on 14th October. The series will commence with the two Asian sides, i.e. Pakistan and Bangladesh meeting each other at the venue on 7th October.

The Babar Azam-led team will then play New Zealand over there the next day before the home side hosts the Bangladeshi unit on Sunday, which is 9th October.

New Zealand-Pakistan-Bangladesh Tri-Series Schedule

  • 1st T20I: Bangladesh vs Pakistan, October 7
  • 2nd T20I: New Zealand vs Pakistan, October 8
  • 3rd T20I: New Zealand vs Bangladesh, October 9
  • 4th T20I: New Zealand vs Pakistan, October 11
  • 5th T20I: New Zealand vs Bangladesh, October 12
  • 6th T20I: Bangladesh vs Pakistan, October 13
  • Final

Accordingly, the three participant teams will be done with their first round of matches against each other by 9th October. The organizers have then called for a rest day on 10th October before the series resumes from 11th October onwards.

New Zealand will again meet Pakistan at the same venue on Tuesday and the former will subsequently lock horns with Bangladesh on 12th October in Christchurch. Eventually, Pakistan will meet Bangladesh on 13th October, Thursday, and it is more than likely that the finalists for the tri-series are set to be determined by this point in time.

The summit clash, as mentioned before, will take place at the aforementioned venue on 14th October before the teams fly to Australia for their respective T20 World Cup fixtures. Incidentally, Pakistan and Bangladesh are in the same group for the World Cup whereas New Zealand is placed in the opposite one with the likes of Afghanistan, England and New Zealand.
