NZ-W vs SA-W Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: CWG 2022 Match 3 | NZ-W vs SA-W Dream11 Prediction Today | Edgbaston Pitch Report
Can the Commonwealth Games revitalise both New Zealand and South Africa in what has been a challenging year for both teams? South Africa, courtesy of key absentees and a rampant England side, lost all their matches of their recent Test, ODI and T20I tour. New Zealand, now missing two of their great servants, begin a bit of a new era after a disappointing ODI World Cup at home earlier in 2022.
With England in such great form and favourites to top Group B, this clash shapes up as an important one for both sides. Win here and a spot in the Semi Finals is well in the grasp with a winnable game against Sri Lanka also on the horizon.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
New Zealand:
- The great Sophie Devine has the potential to win this almost on her own. She has an absolutely unbelievable record against South Africa, with 564 runs in nine T20Is at an average of 94.00 and strike rate of 144.25. Add 12 wickets at an average of 15.00 for good measure.
- Suzie Bates struck a century in her last international, vs Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. She too has an excellent record against SA: 11 inns, 426 runs, avg. 53.25, SR 133.13.
- Amelia Kerr has taken seven wickets in six T20Is vs South Africa at an average of 17.43 and economy of 5.55. Also, expect her to bat up the order.
- Can Lea Tahuhu improve on her record vs SA? She has taken just two wickets in six matches at an average of 55.50 and economy of 6.94.
- Rosemary Mair has three wickets in as many matches vs South Africa (avg. 20.33).
South Africa:
- Laura Wolvaardt comes into CWG 2022 in good form. She scored a fifty in the recent T20I series against England and two fifties in the preceding ODI series.
- Wolvaardt has scored just 114 runs in six T20Is against NZ (avg. 19.00), so an improvement is needed if SA are to win.
- Anneke Bosch scored the most runs in the recent ENG-SA T20I series (96). Her strike rate of 97.95 will be under the microscope, however.
- Tazmin Brits comes into this match on the back off a half-century against England five days ago.
- Ayabonga Khaka had a good series against England. She took four wickets in three T20Is at an economy rate of just 5.09, including a spell of 3/13. Against NZ, Khaka has taken four wickets in as many matches.
- The experienced Shabnim Ismail will be key to South Africa’s hopes. The team needs her to improve on her numbers against NZ: 10 inns, 5 wickets, avg. 56.00, econ. 8.00.

Edgbaston Birmingham Pitch Report and Weather
Movement was on offer for the new ball bowlers yesterday, with Renuka Thakur impressing the most. But, once the ball got a little older, conditions became quite pleasant for batting, as shown by Harmanpreet Kaur, Grace Harris, Ashleigh Gardner, Hayley Matthews, Kycia Knight and Nida Dar.
According to AccuWeather, there is a chance of a passing shower throughout the day. Hopefully, there should be enough play for a result.
