SRH vs RR Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 21st Match

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will challenge the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 21st game of IPL 2026. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, will host this game on 13th April 2026 at 7:30 PM IST.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are seventh in the points table with one win in four matches. Their bowling has been the main reason for their poor start, and they’ll have to fix the issue if they are to keep RR in check and get their tournament on track. Abhishek Sharma came back to form in the last game, but Ishan Kishan and Travis Head have been far from their best with the bat.

Bowling – especially pace bowling – has been SRH’s kryptonite this season. Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat and Eshan Malinga have been below average until now. Shivang Kumar and Harsh Dubey have picked up the pieces, but the attack needs to come together as a unit.

Meanwhile, RR are on a roll this season. They are at the top of the table with four wins in four games. Their top 3 have been in exceptional form and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is quite literally bullying the bowlers. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have both been in terrific touch as well. However, Riyan Parag’s form and the middle order’s lack of game time will be of some concern.

On the bowling front, Ravi Bishnoi has picked up wickets consistently while Jofra Arhcer and Nandre Burger have bowled nicely especially in the first six overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Sandeep Sharma complete the bowling attack for the Royals. They are looking pretty solid as a team.

IPL 2026 21st Match: SRH vs RR Probable Playing XIIs

It’ll be interesting to see if SRH continues with both Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel.

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Travis Head, 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Ishan Kishan (c & wk), 4. Heinrich Klaasen, 5. Aniket Varma, 6. Liam Livingstone/Salil Arora, 7. Nitish Kumar Reddy, 8. Shivang Kumar, 9. Harsh Dubey, 10. Harshal Patel, 11. Praful Hinge/Jaydev Unadkat

Impact Sub: Eshan Malinga/Salil Arora

Rajasthan Royals: 1. Yashasvi Jaiswal, 2. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, 3. Dhruv Jurel (wk), 4. Riyan Parag (c), 5. Shimron Hetmyer, 6. Donovan Ferreira, 7. Ravindra Jadeja, 8. Jofra Archer, 9. Ravi Bishnoi, 10. Sandeep Sharma, 11. Brijesh Sharma

Impact Sub: Nandre Burger

Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium Hyderabad Pitch Report and Weather

The pitch at Hyderabad is an excellent one for batting. Runs will flow in this game as both sides have some serious batting firepower. There will be little to no movement for the pacers with the new ball, but the big dimensions will aid the spinners.

Overall the game will be decided by the batters. Teams will prefer chasing. Scores in the range of 200-220 are expected for this game.

It will be a clear day in Hyderabad, with the temperature being around 32 degrees Celsius at the start of the game.

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Ishan Kishan scored 80 runs in the first game but has failed to get going in the last three games. He has a total of 122 runs in four matches. He smashed 106 off 47 balls against RR last season.
  • Dhurv Jurel played a match-winning knock in the last match. He is batting very aggressively at number three and has played his shots fearlessly. He is striking at 181.44 this season (176 runs).
  • Heinrich Klaasen has 184 runs in four innings at an average of 46 and strike rate of 140.45, including two fifties. Klaasen is still far from his fluent best, but he has been in good touch and will be a top fantasy pick. You can try him as C/VC, especially while batting first.

Key batter picks:

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is currently the highest run-scorer of IPL 2026 with 200 runs in 4 innings at an average of 50 with an unbelievable strike rate of 266.66. He is the top Dream11 captaincy option against a struggling SRH attack.
  • Yashasvi Jaiswal is another top batter for RR to pick in fantasy cricket for this game. Jaiswal has 183 runs in four innings at an average of 91.50 at a strike rate of 163.39 in IPL 2026, and has 267 runs against SRH in eight innings (avg. 33.4, SR 154.3).
  • Abhishek Sharma scored a brilliant 74 in the last game. He took on the bowlers and looked very comfortable at the crease. His form will be a good sign for the Sunrisers. Abhishek will be a top C/VC choice for this match, as he can take the game away from the Royals if he gets going.
  • Travis Head is another must-pick in your fantasy teams. He is another super aggressive opener from this match, and you can’t miss out on him. He’s been far from his best in the four games till now (102 runs) but he is a proven match-winner in the IPL.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Nitish Kumar Reddy has 96 runs, including a fifty, and he also has two wickets to his name. Considering RR’s bowling and the current form of SRH’s middle order, he should get good time to bat and may bowl a few overs. Reddy will be a top all-rounder pick for this game.

Key bowler picks:

  • Jofra Archer has five wickets in four games. He’s bowling quick and will pose a threat to the SRH openers. Archer can swing the new ball both ways, and he’ll target Abhishek and Head with his hard lengths.
  • Nandre Burger too has five wickets to his name. He’s also bowled well with the new ball and in the middle overs. Burger is another bowler who can trouble the SRH openers with his left-arm angle and away swing at a high pace.
  • Ravi Bishnoi has nine wickets in four games. He’s picking up wickets for fun. His economy so far is 8.76 at a bowling strike rate of just 8.6. He has a dominant record against Ishan Kishan in the IPL: 38 balls, 34 runs, four wickets.

Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team

IPL 2026 21st Match: SRH vs RR Match Prediction: Who will win?

Rajasthan Royals are clearly the more balanced team for this game. They have quality batters; they bat deep and have plenty of quality in their bowling as well. Sunrisers, on the other hand, are not at their best with the bat, and their bowling has been abysmal, especially the pacers.

Rajasthan Royals should win this match.

“Finally” – Twitter Reactions to Sanju Samson’s first century for CSK: 115* off 56 balls

Sanju Samson had just 22 runs in his first three innings for the Chennai Super Kings. His average at Chepauk was just 11 after six innings. But he turned things around really well during CSK’s fourth game of IPL 2026 against the Delhi Capitals.

The opener scored an exceptional century – 115* off 56 balls – when the odds were against him. Fans were being impatient, especially after the hype Samson had when he was traded in from the Rajasthan Royals.

He started off well and played his shots in the powerplay despite Ruturaj Gaikwad’s very safe approach at the other end. Sanju kept playing his shots, got a life when he was on 52, and then eventually completed his century off 52 deliveries.

This was a much-needed knock for CSK’s ‘Chettan,’ and he delivered when the side required runs from him. Fans and the experts applauded Sanju’s efforts and expressed their thoughts on him regaining his form.

Reactions: Sanju Samson scores first century for CSK

Here are some of the reactions from fans and experts on Sanju Samson’s brilliant hundred:

Sanju Samson being back in form is a great sign for CSK as they desperately need runs from their top order, and fans, team management, and the stakeholders will expect the opener to continue his good form for the rest of the season.

LSG vs GT Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 19th Match

The two newest IPL franchises go head-to-head in an intriguing contest. Both teams won in incredible fashion during the week, ensuring they remain close to the top four.

Mukul Choudhary announced himself in incredible fashion at Eden Gardens during the week, highlighting Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) improved middle order depth this season. Gujarat Titans (GT) were staring at a third-straight defeat until they scaped home against Delhi Capitals after David Miller decided against a single on the penultimate ball.

All eyes will be on the Lucknow pitch in this day game. LSG have the batting firepower to score big, but GT have the bowling depth especially considering Rashid Khan is getting back to his best. Also, the form of Jos Buttler is a positive, while Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar are also coming off half-centuries.

IPL 2026 19th Match: LSG vs GT Possible Playing XIIs

List of most valuable IPL teams 2026: Which franchise has the most value?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is among the biggest sporting leagues in the world. It is competing with other sporting leagues like the NFL, EPL, NBA, MLB, etc., which is a great sign for the league and cricket as a sport.

IPL’s overall valuation is somewhere around $16-18.5 billion, widely considered the second-highest after the National Football League (NFL). Since the Indian Premier League is valued so much, the value of the IPL franchises will be higher as well.

Recently two franchises – Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals were sold to new respective owners, and it has created a huge buzz in the cricketing and business sectors.

In this article, we’ll list down the values of each IPL franchise.

Most valuable IPL teams 2026

1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

RCB was recently acquired by a consortium led by the Aditya Birla Group. The valuation was $1.78 billion for men and the WPL side as well. After this deal, RCB is the highest valued franchise in the league.

2. Rajasthan Royals (RR)

The Rajasthan Royals also got sold to Kal Somani (US entrepreneur). The franchise was valued at $1.63 billion, including the franchises in the Caribbean Premier League and the SA20 league.

3. Mumbai Indians (MI)

The current brand value of the Mumbai Indians is $242 million, which makes them one of the highly valued teams in the IPL. Their overall valuation is estimated to be somewhere around $1.6-1.7 billion. They’re the joint most successful team in the IPL, with five titles to their name.

4. Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

CSK has also won five titles in the IPL, and they arguably have the biggest fan following in the entire tournament. Their brand value is $235 million, with their overall valuation estimated to be $1.3-1.4 billion.

5. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

KKR has 3 titles to their name, and their overall valuation is approximately $1.1-1.15 billion. Their brand value is around $222 million. KKR has a good fan following, and Shahrukh Khan being their owner makes them a popular franchise. They also have teams in the MLC, CPL, and ILT20.

6. Delhi Capitals (DC)

Delhi Capitals is one of the teams that are yet to win the IPL title, but like every IPL franchise, they have a good fan following. KL Rahul and Axar Patel are the two big names of the franchise. Their overall valuation is around $1-1.1 billion, with their brand value being $152 million. The Capitals have franchises in the SA20, ILT20, CPL, and the MLC as well.

7. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Owned by the Sun TV network, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have an overall valuation of around $1-1.05 billion. Their brand valuation is $154 million. The likes of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan are the face of the franchise (domestic players). They have a sister franchise in the SA20 and a team in The Hundred.

8. Gujarat Titans (GT)

Gujarat Titans have an overall valuation of nearly $1 billion, and their brand value is $142 million. They won the IPL title back in 2022, which was their first year in the tournament. Skipper Shubman Gill is the face of GT.

9. Punjab Kings (PBKS)

The Punjab Kings lost the final of the IPL in 2025. Their fan following has increased since the last year. PBKS has an overall value of approx. $1 billion, and their brand value is $141 million.

10. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)

LSG is one of the two newest sides in the league. They have an overall valuation of nearly $1 billion, and their brand value is $122 million. Mr. Sanjiv Goenka from the RPSG group is the owner of the LSG franchise. They have teams in other cricket leagues around the globe.

CSK vs DC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 18th Match

Even at this early stage, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are almost in must-win territory. They’ve lost their first three games, and they’ve lost them very badly. They are at the bottom of the points table with a very poor net run rate (-2.517). Bowling is their biggest concern, while the form of two of their best batters – Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad – is another big issue.

Samson is yet to score in double digits after three games, while Ruturaj has looked completely short of confidence. Sarfaraz Khan has been the biggest positive, while Prashant Veer showed promising signs, despite the comments of S Badrinath.

Kartik Sharma has shown slight glimpses of his potential, and they’ll hope that he gets some runs very soon. Jamie Overton has batted well, while Shivam Dube will have to show some consistency going forward in the tournament. The key is Samson and Gaikwad batting long enough to ensure Dube comes in against spin in the middle overs.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals lost their last game by one run against the Gujarat Titans. But KL Rahul (92 runs) scoring big after a couple of bad games and David Miller (41* runs) also scoring runs will be a good sign for DC going forward. They’ll be looking to bounce back quickly after Miller denied a single off the second-last ball against GT, which ultimately proved costly.

Tristan Stubbs and Pathum Nissanka have also looked in decent touch, while Sameer Rizvi has started the season superbly despite his duck in the last match.

Mukesh Kumar has bowled well for DC in the last two games, while Kuldeep Yadav too has chipped in with wickets. Skipper Axar Patel’s form will be of some concern to the Capitals. Lungi Ngidi, in his current form, will be a key bowler for them in this game against CSK.

IPL 2026 18th Match: CSK vs DC Possible Playing XIIs

Bowling is a big concern for the Super Kings. Expect a few changes in their lineup in this game, but still players like Noor Ahmad and Matt Henry (if selected) must step up if CSK are to do well.

Dewald Brevis is a chance of playing, but coach Stephen Fleming didn’t confirm ahead of the match, according to cricbuzz.

Chennai Super Kings: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), 2. Sanju Samson (wk), 3. Ayush Mhatre, 4. Sarfaraz Khan, 5. Dewald Brevis/Kartik Sharma, 6. Shivam Dube, 7. Prashant Veer, 8. Jamie Overton, 9. Noor Ahmad, 10. Khaleel Ahmed, 11. Anshul Kamboj, 12. Matt Henry/Akeal Hosein

Delhi Capitals may bring in one of Karun Nair, Abhishek Porel, or even Ashutosh Sharma for the struggling Nitish Rana.

Delhi Capitals: 1. KL Rahul (wk), 2. Pathum Nissanka, 3. Nitish Rana/Karun Nair, 4. Sameer Rizvi, 5. Axar Patel, 6. David Miller, 7. Tristan Stubbs, 8. Vipraj Nigam, 9. Kuldeep Yadav, 10. Mukesh Kumar, 11. Lungi Ngidi  12. T Natarajan

MA Chidambaram Stadium Chepauk Chennai Pitch Report and Weather

A good batting track with little to no help for the bowlers is expected for this game. There might be some assistance for the pacers with the new ball and the spinners can exploit the big side of the venue, but overall the batters will dictate the game.

In the last game played here, only 10 wickets fell in 20 overs, and Punjab chased down 209 runs quite easily. Expect scores in the range of 180-200+ in this game and teams will prefer chasing.

A hot and humid day is expected in Chennai with no chance of rain. The weather will be clear with the temperature being around 28-29 degrees Celsius and 70-80% humidity.

Insights that could decide how the CSK vs DC match will transpire

Below are some interesting insights that could decide this contest, according to SPODA AI data.

  • CSK have fared pretty well in the powerplay across their last five matches at Chepauk, scoring 84, 71, 51, 82 and 71 in this period.
  • DC have taken a total of 11 wickets in the powerplay in their last five matches at Chepauk.
  • Ayush Mhatre is considered the likeliest player to make a 30+ score (60% probability). Ruturaj Gaikwad (49.37%) and KL Rahul (49.27%) are also considered a good chance.
  • Khaleel Ahmed has a 39.19% probability of taking 2+ wickets. Kuldeep Yadav has a lower chance (29.59%) according to predictive analysis.

For more such information, check out SPODA AI below, where you can even ask a question.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for CSK vs DC: Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:

  • Sanju Samson has a decent record against DC: 293 runs in 11 innings with 2 fifties, strike rate of 148.70 at an average of 36.60. But his record at Chepauk – 66 runs in 6 innings, averaging 11 – makes it difficult to pick him in fantasy cricket alongside his current form. But Sanju will be a must in your fantasy teams, as a big knock should be around the corner from him.
  • KL Rahul loves batting against CSK. He has 6 fifties against them in 15 innings. Rahul has scored 630 runs at an average of 45 at a strike rate of 142.90. He will be a top C/VC pick.

Key batter picks:

  • Ruturaj Gaikwad averages 27 for his 243 runs at a strike rate of 129.30 against the Delhi Capitals. Gaikwad will be itching to do well and lead from the front. You can back him in your fantasy teams for this game.
  • Sarfaraz Khan has been the best batter for CSK till now in IPL 2026 (99 runs at a strike rate of 202), but he has failed to convert the starts, especially in the powerplay, into big scores.
  • Ayush Mhatre is a key player for the Super Kings at 3. He scores big when he gets going and can take on the bowlers on his day. Mhatre scored 73 against Punjab, but his scores in the other two games are 1 and 0. Despite that, he’ll be a top fantasy pick.
  • Dewald Brevis is expected to bat at 5 for CSK. He is amongst the most destructive batters on his day. Brevis will look to take on the spinners and he can score big if he succeeds in doing that. He’ll be a must pick and a top C/VC choice.

Top all-rounder picks:

  • Shivam Dube averages just 18.80 against DC in 9 innings for his 169 runs. He bowled two overs in the last game. Dube will be a key batter for CSK against Delhi’s spin attack. He’s been in good form lately and will be someone you can’t miss out on in fantasy cricket.
  • Jamie Overton picked up one wicket and scored a quickfire 37 in the last game. He can hit the deck hard and bowled at nearly 150 km/h in the last game. Overton will fetch points from both bat and ball, making him an ideal fantasy pick.

Key bowler picks:

  • Noor Ahmad has been far from his usual self in the first three games this season. But he’s CSK’s main bowler in the middle overs and can trouble Delhi’s middle order.
  • Khaleel Ahmed has 10 wickets against DC in 6 innings at an economy of 8.63, and his bowling strike rate is 13.70. He can move the new ball both ways and can trouble Nissanka and Nitish Rana in this match CSK manages to pick up early wickets.

PBKS vs SRH Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 17th Match

The impressive Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be itching to get back in action. They host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a day game, which will be their first full match since April 3th where they chased CSK’s 209 with ease in Chennai. Their match against KKR on April 6th was washed out after 3.4 overs.

SRH too will be keen to get going. Their last match was on April 5th, going down to LSG despite a fighting effort after a terrible start. So, that will be a key area for improvement here as early wickets also hurt them against RCB in the tournament opener a few weeks ago. Can Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma get going?

SRH currently sit in sixth position with one win and two losses. They have a positive net run rate (0.275), but victory is still important here to maintain pace with the top four even in the early stages of the season. PBKS are aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to IPL 2026.

There is something that clicks for SRH when they come up against PBKS. They have won their past four matches head-to-head, including a chase of 246 with nine balls to spare last season.

IPL 2026 17th Match: PBKS vs SRH Possible Playing XIIs

Punjab Kings: 1. Prabhsimran Singh (wk), 2. Priyansh Arya, 3. Cooper Connolly (OS), 4. Shreyas Iyer (c), 5. Nehal Wadhera, 6. Shashank Singh, 7. Marcus Stoinis (OS), 8. Marco Jansen (OS), 9. Xavier Bartlett (OS), 10. Vijaykumar Vyshak, 11. Arshdeep Singh, 12. Yuzvendra Chahal

Sunrisers Hyderabad: 1. Travis Head (OS), 2. Abhishek Sharma, 3. Ishan Kishan (c & wk), 4. Liam Livingstone (OS), 5. Heinrich Klaasen (OS), 6. Nitish Kumar Reddy, 7. Aniket Verma, 8. Harsh Dubey, 9. Shivang Kumar, 10. Harshal Patel, 11. Jaydev Unadkat, 12. Eshan Malinga (OS)

Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Mullanpur Cricket Stadium Pitch Report and Weather

Spin could play an important role in this day game. In all games at Mullanpur in IPL 2025, pace bowlers took 44 wickets at an average of 29.61 and economy rate of 9.50. Spinners fared very well, taking 29 wickets at an average of 19.79 and economy of 7.81.

Earlier this season, Cooper Connolly’s 72* led PBKS to a tough win against Gujarat Titans in a game where the bowlers had a say.

A warm and clear afternoon is forecast for this match with a top temperature of 32 degrees.

Insights that could shape how the PBKS vs SRH match will transpire

Below are some interesting insights that could decide this contest, according to SPODA AI data.

  • The average winning first innings score at Mullanpur since 2019 is 192.86.
  • Since 2019, teams batting first and second lose an almost identical number of wickets in the powerplay at Mullanpur (2.09 vs. 2.08).
  • Priyansh Arya is considered the likeliest player to make a 20+ score (64.58% probability). Heinrich Klaasen is next likeliest with 57.14%, followed by Shreyas Iyer (54.61%), Travis Head (53.33%) and Cooper Connolly (52.50%).
  • Eshan Malinga has a 52.85% probability of taking 2+ wickets. Harshal Patel (36%) is the next highest for SRH, while Yuzvendra Chahal (35.71%) has the highest probability among PBKS bowlers.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PBKS vs SRH: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicketkeeper picks:

  • Ishan Kishan is one of the form T20 players with 627 runs this year at a strike rate of 203.6. He has a poor record against PBKS, though: 256 runs, avg. 19.7, SR 117.4.
  • Prabhsimran Singh has scored 117 runs in his last three innings against SRH at a strike rate of 158.11.
  • Heinrich Klaasen has struck two fifties in three matches this season. His matchup against Yuzvendra Chahal (30 balls, 56 runs, one wicket in the IPL) will make for interesting viewing.

Key batter picks:

  • Priyansh Arya won man of the match in PBKS’ last completed match for his 11-ball 39 against CSK. The dynamic opener can make a big impact against SRH’s struggling attack today.
  • Shreyas Iyer smashed 82 off 36 balls against SRH last season. He is a strong c/vc option in Dream11, but he does have a poor record at Mullanpur: 5 inns, 27 runs.
  • Abhishek Sharma has an outstanding record against Punjab Kings: 5 inns, 297 runs, avg. 59.4, SR 196.7. He belted 141 off 55 balls in IPL 2025. He also has excellent numbers against Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen (see below).
  • Travis Head’s indifferent form since the start of 2025 has hurt SRH. However, he has a high ceiling, as he showed against PBKS last season (66 off 37 balls).

Top allrounder picks:

  • Cooper Connolly has looked brilliant batting at number three for Punjab Kings, with 108 runs in two innings so far. This includes a crucial 72* on this ground against GT.
  • Ntiish Kumar Reddy has found form with scores of 39 and 56 in his past two matches. He can also contribute with the ball.

Key bowler picks:

  • Arshdeep Singh is wicketless this season, but today is an opportunity for him as SRH have struggled in the powerplay. He has dismissed Ishan Kishan three times in 17 balls (32 runs) and Travis Head twice in 16 balls (22 runs) in the IPL.
  • Vijaykumar Vyshak has been excellent at the death this season. He has accumulated 178 Dream11 points so far. His slower balls can be effective in this day game.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal against SRH: 22 inns, 29 wickets, avg. 23.3, SR 17.6.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Marco Jansen had a bad time against SRH last season, but Sunrisers have struggled in the powerplay so far in IPL 2026. This brings Jansen into contention as a strong Dream11 pick. Same with Xavier Bartlett.
  • Jaydev Unadkat and Harsh Dubey are SRH’s leading wicket-takers in IPL 2026 with four.

RR vs RCB Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 16th Match

The 16th match of IPL 2026 has the makings of a classic. Two unbeaten teams, who both have aspirations of winning this year’s title, go head-to-head in a Friday night showdown in Guwahati.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have three wins from as many matches. They’ve blown teams away and also found a way to win against Gujarat Titans. Their opening combination of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is a sight to behold, while their bowling attack is performing nicely as a unit.

Their matchup against defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has many subplots. RCB have been excellent this season, with their dynamic batting lineup coming to the fore against CSK and SRH. Also, can their powerplay bowlers get the better of RR’s superb opening partnership? It promises to be a cracking encounter between two in-form and quality teams.

Barsapara Cricket Stadium Guwahati Pitch Report and Weather

RR dismissed CSK for 127 in the first match at Guwahati this season. RR then smashed 150 off 11 overs in the shortened match against MI. Expect good, true batting conditions in this match despite rain in recent days.

Chasing sides have won 13 of the 22 T20s played at this venue in the last five years. Teams are expected to prefer chasing as well. Scores in the range of 180-200 are expected.

AccuWeather forecasts a clear evening during the match hours.

Insights that could shape how the RR vs RCB match will transpire

Below are some interesting insights that could decide this contest, according to SPODA AI data.

  • The average winning first innings score at Guwahati since 2019 is 193.

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has a 66.67% chance of making a 30+ score, according to predictive probabilities. Yashasvi Jaiswal is next with 50.73%. Rajat Patidar (48.98%) and Virat Kohli (48.66%) are close behind.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for RR vs RCB: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

  • Phil Salt found some form in the last match against CSK (46). The RCB opener hit 91 runs off 56 balls across the two matches against RR in IPL 2026.
  • Dhruv Jurel has looked excellent at number three this season, striking at 175.92 so far.

Key batter picks:

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hits a six every 4.9 deliveries in his IPL career to date. His 122 runs this season come at an eyewatering strike rate of 248.97. The fact he even hit Jasprit Bumrah for sixes highlights his fearless talent.
  • Virat Kohli has scored two fifties and a hundred in his past four matches against RR.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Jacob Duffy has taken five wickets this season, all in the powerplay phase. Can he get the better of the RR openers? Expect him to bowl back of a length and at the body to Sooryavanshi in particular.
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar is selected in nearly 50% of Dream11 teams. He will be key in the powerplay but has poor numbers against Yashasvi Jaiswal (see next section). Also, he’s conceded 161 off 85 balls against Jaiswal, Parag and Jurel in T20s.
  • Krunal Pandya took three wickets in two matches against RR in IPL 2026. Those were his first wickets against RR since 2019.

Sunil Gavaskar lashes out on overseas players’ unavailability in the IPL

Former Indian captain and one of the best batters of all time, Sunil Gavaskar, has expressed his displeasure about the overseas players’ unavailability and ‘workload’ during the IPL.

As per The Hindustan Times, the Indian legend was very critical about the situation in his column for Sportstar.

He said, “To suggest that the franchise was ‘informed before’ is not a great excuse. And ‘informed before’ is how much before the opening day of the tournament? Playing for the country is paramount and comes before franchise cricket, but don’t the franchises, who open not just their wallets but also their hearts to players and often their families, deserve full commitment?”

Kolkata Knight Riders are one bowler short, and their premier all-rounder, Cameron Green, is not bowling due to workload management as he’s recovering from a back injury. Ajinkya Rahane’s “ask Cricket Australia” comment sparked this controversy.

Cooper Connolly from Punjab is also not bowling while SRH skipper Pat Cummins, DC pacer Mitchell Starc, and RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood are out of the first half of the IPL due to workload management and injuries.

“If the body is that fragile, then rest for 2 months”: Sunil Gavaskar on overseas players missing IPL action

Gavaskar further mentioned that bowling four overs in a game is not too to ask from the players, and they should rest for the IPL if their body is that ‘fragile’.

“It is also worth remembering that a bowler can bowl only four overs in a match. If they have bowled a similar number of deliveries in practice without issue, what is stopping them from doing so in the game? As a bowler, you are expected to bowl 56 overs across 14 league games over two months and, if your team reaches the final, perhaps another two or three games and 12 more overs,” Gavaskar wrote.

“C’mon, for a generation that keeps talking about how fit they are, that’s no load at all. Four overs in a match, and that too not in one stretch, is too much for the body? Man, if the body is that fragile, then it’s best to give it two more months’ rest, isn’t it?” he further added.

Gavaskar also went to mention that the IPL is the only franchise where the overseas boards are paid a commission.

“The IPL has been a cash cow not just for overseas players but for their boards too. Does the average Indian fan know that cricket boards get 10% of the fee a player from their country is bought for? It is not clear whether the BCCI or the franchise pays this commission for issuing the No Objection Certificate,” he wrote.

“No other T20 league in the world pays a single dime to the boards of overseas players. Not even The Hundred, which held its first auction recently. Since four out of six teams have Indian owners, why not milk the cash cow?” he wrote.”

The former Indian opener says the BCCI should consider a ban on players who are not available from the first game except for being on national duty.

“Maybe the BCCI needs to step in and, as they have done by banning overseas players for two years for pulling out after being bought at the auction, introduce something similar for players who are not available from the first game of the tournament unless they are on national duty. This will send a strong message to those who think they can take Indian cricket for granted,” he concluded.

Kolkata weather forecast for KKR vs LSG IPL match on April 9 – Will it rain?

The Kolkata weather has had an impact on IPL 2026, with the Kolkata Knight Riders-Punjab Kings match on April 6 ending in a no result.

Only 3.4 overs were possible before pre-monsoon “Kalbaisakhi” storms hit, where Ajinkya Rahane’s team were reduced to 25/2 courtesy of Xavier Bartlett’s excellent opening spell.

As a result, KKR now sit second last with two defeats and a no result. Despite the IPL season still in its early stages, KKR need to get moving, starting with their crunch clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Thursday.

Kolkata weather forecast: Will rain impact the KKR vs LSG match?

Rain and wind in the leadup to the KKR-LSG match has raised concerns of another washout. However, AccuWeather forecasts mostly clear conditions with no chance of precipitation from 7pm onwards.

In fact, the hourly forecast predicts clear conditions from 8pm, which can bring dew into play.

In their match preview, cricbuzz also painted a pretty promising picture, also outlining the role pacers could play in the KKR-LSG matchup. Mohammed Shami is fresh of a man-of-the-match performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he took 2/9 off four overs and dismissed both openers.

“The weather prediction for the game, specifically during match time, is largely clear,” wrote cricbuzz’s Aadya Sharma.

“Xavier Bartlett managed to get some early zip from the surface, while SRH effectively employed cutters in the middle overs. The frequent showers may have left the outfield a bit sluggish though.”

LSG could move into the top four with a win while KKR can get their season going with three points from four matches should they emerge victorious.

KKR vs LSG Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report – IPL 2026 15th Match

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are in awkward territory. Two defeats and a washout represent a tough start to their season, and while it’s still early, they need to get moving.

Earlier this month, Ajinkya Rahane launched a passionate defence regarding his strike rate. KKR need plenty of passion and desire to get their season back on track, starting with an important game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

LSG are coming off their first win of IPL 2026, prevailing against Sunrisers Hyderabad with two balls to spare. Mohammed Shami’s outstanding powerplay burst set the match up, but the fact that LSG still made tough work of the victory despite being ahead for large parts of the match is cause for improvement.

KKR currently sit second-last while LSG can move into the top four with victory at Eden Gardens.

IPL 2026 15th Match: KKR vs LSG Possible Playing XIIs

According to cricbuzz, Sunil Narine (abdominal injury) trained on both days ahead of this game and should be fit to play. A call on Varun Chakravarthy (hand injury) will be made on matchday.

Also, Cameron Green could bowl in this game.

Kolkata Knight Riders: 1. Finn Allen, 2. Ajinkya Rahane (c), 3. Cameron Green, 4. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, 5. Rinku Singh, 6. Ramandeep Singh, 7. Sunil Narine, 8. Anukul Roy, 9. Navdeep Saini/Varun Chakravarthy, 10. Vaibhav Arora, 11. Kartik Tyagi, 12. Blessing Muzarabani

LSG are likely to stick with the same team.

Lucknow Super Giants: 1. Mitchell Marsh, 2. Aiden Markram, 3. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 4. Nicholas Pooran, 5. Ayush Badoni, 6. Abdul Samad, 7. Mukul Choudhary, 8. M Siddharth, 9. Avesh Khan, 10. Mohammed Shami, 11. Digvesh Rathi, 12. Prince Yadav

Eden Gardens Kolkata Pitch Report and Weather

Rain has been a constant theme in Kolkata in recent days, with heavy downpours and wind lashing Eden Gardens even on match eve. However, cricbuzz reports the forecast looks mostly clear during the match hours.

In IPL 2025, spinners fared better than pacers on this ground. Left-arm orthodox and chinaman bowlers went for under eight an over. Legspinners conceded 8.50 per over. Pace went for over 10.50.

However, expect movement for the pace bowlers in the powerplay, similar to Xavier Bartlett for PBKS a few nights ago.

Insights that could shape how KKR vs LSG match could transpire

  • Since 2019, teams lose an average of 1.76 wickets in the powerplay at Eden Gardens. We could see high scores if teams lose just one wicket in the first six overs, although LSG have been successful with the ball so far this season.
  • If KKR bat first, lose one wicket in the powerplay, score 50 runs at the death, and make 200, they have a 78% chance of winning. The figure is the same for LSG.
  • Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44% chance) and Rishabh Pant (42.86% chance) are considered the likeliest players to make a 30+ score. Aiden Markram (41.58%), Ajinkya Rahane (40.21%) and Finn Allen (40.20%) are close behind.
  • Mayank Yadav, if picked, has a 50% probability of taking 2+ wickets. Prince Yadav has a 40% chance, while Varun Chakaravarthy is highest for KKR with a 35.13% chance.

For more such information, check out SPODA AI below, where you can even ask a question.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for KKR vs LSG: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Top wicketkeeper picks:

  • According to SPODA AI, Angkrish Raghuvanshi has a dot-ball percentage of just 30% in domestic T20 innings. The talented batter has two fifties in two completed matches in IPL 2026.
  • Finn Allen struggled against Xavier Bartlett’s swing, so his matchup against Mohammed Shami will be key. That being said, Allen can go big, as he did in the T20 World Cup Semi-Final against South Africa at Eden Gardens last month (100 off 33 balls).
  • Rishabh Pant is coming off an important 68* against SRH. Overall, he has 384 runs at an average of 24 and strike rate of 147.1 against KKR. However, slow starts remain a worry, with a strike rate of 111.96 in the first 10 balls he faces in innings since 2024.

Key batter picks:

  • Since the start of IPL 2025, Ajinkya Rahane has struck 473 runs at an average of 36.4 and strike rate of 147.8. At Eden Gardens, the average increases to 42 and strike rate slightly to 148.
  • Mitchell Marsh also has strong numbers in the IPL since the start of last season: 15 inns, 676 runs, avg. 45.1, SR 159.8. He also smashed 81 off 48 balls against KKR at Eden Gardens in IPL 2025.

Top allrounder picks:

  • Aiden Markram has a strike rate of 171.6 in three IPL matches at Eden Gardens (115 runs). He hit 50 (26) in 2023 and 47 (28) in 2025.

Key bowler picks:

  • Mohammed Shami has been superb in the powerplay, taking three wickets in this phase in IPL 2026. His variations and ability to swing the ball can test KKR, who have lost six powerplay wickets this season.

Other Players to Consider for your Fantasy Cricket Teams

  • Nicholas Pooran is having a poor year in T20s. However, he loves Eden Gardens. In three IPL matches on this ground, Pooran has smashed 190 runs off 98 balls (two fifties).
  • Rinku Singh has accumulated 152 Dream11 points so far this season. He has 68 runs off 35 deliveries so far in IPL 2026, making him a good differential pick.
  • Cameron Green has missed out with the bat so far in IPL 2026. But, he bats in the top three and could return to bowling in this match.
  • Sunil Narine has taken 73 wickets in 67 matches at Eden Gardens (avg. 22.9, SR 21).
  • Vaibhav Arora has been expensive, but he is a wicket-taker. Similar applies to Blessing Muzarabani, who took four wickets in his last innings.
