RCB vs RR Preview Dream11. Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals Preview Dream11 Prediction
Two teams who have been in do-or-die mode for a couple of weeks now. One side is about to take its last breath, and the other is doing enough to keep hopes alive of a miraculous playoffs appearance.
Not even the philosophical, faithful Royal Challengers Bangalore fans can realistically believe they can make the playoffs. Despite four wins out of five before their defeat to DC, it has been another underwhelming canpaign for Virat Kohli’s men. It was another season of hope for RCB, but it hasn’t materialised. However, they can now be of nuisance value to their opponents. Will they end RR’s season?
Rajasthan Royals made a late run to the playoffs last season. They are attempting to do it again, and even though SRH’s net run rate boosting win over KXIP yesterday is a blow, Steve Smith’s men are still in with a chance. Their first win this season was over RCB, and they will be out to ensure their win over SRH last game isn’t their last.
Key to an RCB win
RCB’s death bowling made for grim viewing once again. Their poor last four overs vs DC was ultimately the difference between winning and losing. Here, they need a polished performance at all stages of the innings, with RR’s top order in good form – Ajinkya Rahane, Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith are all playing well. So, Umesh Yadav will be key in the powerplay, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal up until the middle overs, and Navdeep Saini and even Marcus Stoinis at the death.
Also, can Virat Kohli play a big innings? He has had three low scores in a row – something so rare for the India and RCB captain. He and in-form Parthiv Patel can provide a quick start that pushes RR back, and remind them of their pace bowling worries from earlier in the season. If RCB do the right thing and bat Marcus Stoinis at four, RCB have a top four – including AB de Villiers – that can set up a huge total.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – It wasn’t a good death period for RCB vs DC.
Key to a RR win
RR bowled nicely as a unit in their last-start win over SRH. The much-maligned Jaydev Unadkat picked up man-of-the-match, but the challenge for he and RR is to back up their effort well. Conditions at the Chinnaswamy are different to Jaipur, which puts onus on Varun Aaron and Oshane Thomas in particular to be as accurate as possible with their pace. Shreyas Gopal has a superb record vs RCB, so he can keep things tight in the middle overs, especially if RR make a strong start. Can RR get the better of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers?
Also, there was much to like about RR’s top four against SRH. Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone began with a strong opening partnership, and if they can replicate what DC did a couple of days ago vs RCB, it sets things up nicely for Sanju Samson, Steve Smith, Ashton Turner and Riyan Parag to play off the back of. Samson in particular has fond memories of the Chinnaswamy, belting 92* off 45 balls there last year. Against an RCB attack that continues to have its struggles, a big opportunity awaits RR.
RCB vs RR Preview Dream11 – Will Steve Smith lead his team to victory?
Possible Playing 11
RCB: 1. Virat Kohli (c), 2. Parthiv Patel (wk), 3. AB de Villiers, 4. Heinrich Klaasen/Shimron Hetmyer, 5. Shivam Dube, 6. Marcus Stoinis, 7. Gurkeerat Singh, 8. Washington Sundar, .9 Umesh Yadav, 10. Yuzvendra Chahal, 11. Navdeep Saini
RR: 1. Ajinkya Rahane, 2. Liam Livingstone, 3. Sanju Samson (wk), 4. Steve Smith (c), 5. Ashton Turner, 6. Riyan Parag, 7. Stuart Binny, 8. Shreyas Gopal, 9. Jaydev Unadkat, 10. Varun Aaron, 11. Oshane Thomas
This will be Steve Smith’s last match for RR this season. It will be his 50th match as captain in T20s.
Yuzvendra Chahal is two wickets away from 100 in IPL.
Virat Kohli currently has 49 wins as an IPL captain.
Match Prediction
Huge game for RR as they look to keep their season alive.
It is hard to predict which RCB side will turn up in this game. Will they perform really well now that the pressure is gone? Or will RR continue their good run?
Some of Australia’s best players are considering jumping ship to the SA20 if salaries in the Big Bash League (BBL) don’t improve.
According to a report in The Age, players are requesting competitive salaries of approximately $1 million each to play in the BBL. The aforementioned publication also reports that senior players, including Test and ODI captain Pat Cummins, are considering asking Cricket Australia (CA) for no-objection certificates (NOCs) to play in the 2028 SA20 season if they feel they aren’t being paid their market value.
SA20 would be able to pay Australian players a lot more than the BBL can currently
The market values top Australian at nearly $1 million each for a major franchise tournament outside the Indian Premier League (IPL). Currently, the BBL is not able to provide anywhere near that kind of compensation.
“There’s a premium for international players in the BBL – they get about $100,000 more than the top Australian players,” said former CA CEO Malcolm Speed on SEN radio on Wednesday. “Get rid of that. The Australians deserve to be paid as much as everyone else.”
In another headache for CA, a number of players are unhappy with how funds are dispersed across the central contract list.
Players making a good living outside of the BBL is not in Australia’s best interests – James Allsopp
CA’s head of cricket James Allsopp has recognised the threat and understands Australian players need to be well looked after.
“The two priorities, in my mind, are making sure multi-format players that drive a lot of commercial value, and also performance value for the team, are well looked after, and we can compete with those market forces, and then also our specialist white-ball players,” Allsopp said, as quoted by The Age.
“They’re in pretty high demand. There’s a world now, where they can jump on the franchise circuit and make a really good living away from Australian cricket, or even away from our BBL, and that’s not going to be in the best interests of Australian cricket.”
Earlier this year, CA CEO Todd Greenberg was forthright in his view on privatisation in the BBL. In an interview with The Grade Cricketer in January, Greenberg said Australia must compete with the “significant funds” other leagues have to offer.
“So on private capital, the concept is that there are global T20 leagues popping up all over the world. They’ve got significant funds; they’re paying players significant amounts of money,” he said.
“If we want to compete, we’ve got to be in that conversation. Because otherwise what happens is your sport gets further away from having the best players. You talked about the best Australian players; 100%, you’re right, but we also want the best players globally to see us as a league they want to play in.”
Top Australian players, including Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Travis Head, will not feature in the 2026/27 BBL season due to a packed international calendar. After the four-match Test series against New Zealand – which ends in early January – the Australian team will travel to India for a huge five-match series that kicks off later that month.
However, CA is eyeing off a big 2027/28 BBL season with Pakistan and Sri Lanka touring for Tests. According to sources, Australia will play Pakistan in December and January, before hosting Sri Lanka in February post the BBL season.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will meet the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 57th game of IPL 2026. The game will be played at Raipur on 13th May 2026 at 7:30 PM IST. RCB is second in the points table with seven wins in 11 games, while KKR are still hanging around with four wins in 10 matches.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Mumbai Indians in a thriller of a game by two wickets. The bowlers continued their good form while the batters held their nerve after Krunal Pandya’s excellent 73-run knock. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in the form of his life, combining with Krunal to deliver with both bat and ball.
Josh Hazlewood has been hot and cold, but it’s a matter of time before he gets back in his groove. Rasikh Salam has shown promise, but Suyash Sharma’s form will be a concern for RCB.
Virat Kohli has now scored two back-to-back ducks, while Jacob Bethell is yet to get going this season. Skipper Rajat Patidar and Tim David will be the key for RCB in the middle order with Jitesh Sharma. Romario Shepherd’s current form is not very promising for RCB. But despite all this, they are looking good as a team.
On the other hand, KKR have turned the tables after losing their first five matches and one no-result game. They have now won four matches in a row and have kept themselves in the hunt for the playoffs.
Finn Allen has added the much-needed X-factor to their batting, while Rinku Singh coming back to form is another big boost. They still need consistency from Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi at the top and Cameron Green in the middle, although the Australian was solid last time out.
This promises to be a thriller between the two teams, and we should have a great game of cricket.
IPL 2026 57th Match: RCB vs KKR Probable Playing XIIs
RCB may bring in Venkatesh Iyer for Romario Shepherd. Jacob Duffy can also play in that case.
Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium Raipur Pitch Report and Weather
The last game played here saw plenty of movement with the new ball for the pacers, and later on the spinners also got some assistance. Batters, once set, can play their shots. The pitch should play similarly in this match. Scores in the range of 160-190 can be expected with teams preferring to bowl first.
It will be partly cloudy during the game, but there are no chances of rain. The temperature will be around 31-32 degrees Celsius, and dew may not be a factor.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for RCB vs KKR: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was unlucky in the last game, but he’s been in decent form in IPL 2026. He has 269 runs in 10 innings with three fifties to his name. Raghuvanshi will be a key player as he’s technically sound and can tackle RCB’s pacers in the powerplay.
Key batter picks:
Virat Kohli has two back-to-back ducks in the last two matches, but you can sense that he’ll be itching to do well in this match. Kohli has a good record against KKR, and he will be a top captain choice in fantasy cricket. He has 379 runs in 11 matches at an average of 42.11 with three fifties in IPL 2026. He has a 48.52% probability of making a 30+ score – the highest of any player – according to SPODA AI predictive analysis.
Rajat Patidar is excellent against spin, and he will be the key for RCB against KKR’s spin attack. Patidar takes on the bowlers in the middle phase of the innings and gains the upper hand. He will be another ideal C/VC choice. The RCB skipper has 326 runs with three fifties in 11 matches.
Finn Allen scored a brilliant hundred (100*) in the last match against Delhi. He batted sensibly and attacked the right bowlers. Allen bats very aggressively and KKR will hope that he can take down Bhuvneshwar and Hazlewood upfront.
Rinku Singh is averaging 59.25 with a couple of fifties for his 237 runs in eight innings. He’s another key player for his team, as he can tackle RCB’s middle-over bowling and can score big. He’ll be a must in your fantasy teams.
Top all-rounder picks:
Krunal Pandya showed his class with the bat in the last match. He has 141 runs and 10 wickets in 11 matches. He is a utility player and will fetch points from batting, bowling, and fielding.
Sunil Narine will be the best bet for Rahane and KKR against RCB. He can go through their middle order on his day and is handy with the bat as well. Narine’s economy in IPL 2026 is 6.51, and he has 10 wickets to his name.
Key bowler picks:
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 21 wickets in 11 matches so far, including 11 in his last five outings. Bhuvneshwar is picking up wickets in clusters with the new ball and bowls well in the death overs, too. He will be a no-brainer in fantasy cricket.
Josh Hazlewood hasn’t had a great last few matches, but he’s a quality bowler and a proven match-winner. He will trouble KKR’s batting with his pace and bounce. He has 10 wickets in eight games so far, and is 40.91% chance of taking 2+ wickets according to SPODA AI predictive analysis.

The Gujarat Titans (GT) will lock horns against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 56th game of IPL 2026. Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, will host this game on 12th May 2026 at 7:30 PM IST.
It is a top-of-the-table clash, and the winner of this match will most probably confirm their place in the playoffs. Expect a thrilling encounter between two excellent, in-form teams.
GT are on a roll as they’ve now won their last four matches and are 3rd in the points table. The bowlers have been exceptional for the Titans, and they are the main reason for their consistency as a team. Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj have picked up wickets for fun, and Jason Holder, alongside Rashid Khan, has made sure they keep the pressure on the batters during the middle and death overs.
Shubman Gill (462 runs), Sai Sudharsan (440 runs), and Jos Buttler (348 runs) are their pillars with the bat. Washington Sundar (246 runs) has also done well at number four. Batting depth is an issue for GT, as they are very much reliant on their top three to do the bulk of the scoring. However, GT are in excellent form right now, and they’ll be pretty confident coming to this match.
Meanwhile, SRH have been in exceptional form as well. They are second in the points table with seven wins in 11 games. They’ve won six of their last seven matches. Heinrich Klaasen (494 runs) is the current Orange Cap holder, with Abhishek Sharma (475 runs) just behind him. Travis Head has also regained his touch with the bat while Ishan Kishan (409 runs) has been a key batter at three for SRH.
They have the best top four in the entire league, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, Salil Arora, and Smaran R ensure they bat deep.
Eshan Malinga (16 wickets) has been brilliant so far, and Sakib Hussain (10 wickets) has assisted him well. Overall, batting is SRH’s strength, but their bowlers have been smart so far in the tournament.
IPL 2026 56th Match: GT vs SRH Probable Playing XIIs
SRH should be unchanged for this game, but there are chances that Praful Hinge could play this game.
Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill (c), 2. Sai Sudharsan, 3. Jos Buttler (wk), 4. Nishant Sindhu, 5. Washington Sundar, 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7. Jason Holder, 8. Arshad Khan, 9. Rashid Khan, 10. Kagiso Rabada, 11. Mohammed Siraj, 12. Manav Suthar/R Sai Kishore
Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad Pitch Report and Weather
There’s plenty of spice expected in the pitch for this game. The new ball will move around especially in the first innings before it settles down and becomes good for batting in the second innings.
The openers will have to be cautious. The average first innings score here this season is 177 runs, but it goes down to 158 runs in the last three matches.
Pacers will enjoy bowling, especially in the first six overs. Teams will prefer chasing, as chasing sides have won four of the six games played here in IPL 2026.
It will be a very hot day in Ahmedabad with the temperature being around 40-41 degrees Celsius when the match starts. Humidity will be around 20-30%, but dew can be a factor in this match.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for GT vs SRH: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
Ishan Kishan has 409 runs in 11 matches with four fifties. He will be a key fantasy pick, as he is in good form, and at number 3 he can take on the GT bowlers during the middle overs, especially Rashid Khan. Try him as C/VC too.
Heinrich Klaasen has been the best batter in the tournament until now. At number 4, he bats as the team requires. So expect another good knock from him in this game, especially if SRH bats first, as if the opener gets out early, Klaasen becomes a key batter for his team. He is considered a 42.50% chance of making a 30+ score according to SPODA AI predictive analysis.
Jos Buttler has made starts, but he’s failed to convert them into big scores. He has two fifties to his name in 11 matches so far. Buttler can take the attack to the bowling side on his day, and he’ll be another excellent C/VC option.
Key batter picks:
Abhishek Sharma will be a popular captain choice for this match. He’s been super aggressive and consistent this season with his batting. The southpaw may face some issues against Siraj and Rabada, but he’ll be in for a big score if he gets going.
Travis Head will be a top differential captain choice. He can struggle against the moving ball, especially when it moves away from him. But, GT bowlers have focused more on hard lengths, and Head is excellent against those kinds of deliveries. He can score big in this match.
Shubman Gill has been the aggressor for GT in the powerplay. He scored 84 runs in the last match and looked in sublime form. SRH lacks a new ball pacer, and Gill can make them pay in this game. He’s the best batter for his team, and a lot will be on his shoulders.
Sai Sudharsan has played consistently, and his role is to hold one end with the others playing around him. Sai plays risk-free cricket and will fancy his chances in this game. He scores big when on song. Sudharsan has four fifties and a century in 11 games, and has a 62.71% probability of making a 30+ score according to SPODA AI predictive analysis.
Top all-rounder picks:
Jason Holder has 10 wickets in five matches at a strike rate of just 11. He is a key player for GT, as he adds depth to the batting and is a key bowler for the Titans. Holder will be a no-brainer in fantasy cricket and an ideal C/VC pick to go with that.
Nitish Kumar Reddy has done well in the limited opportunities he’s had with the bat this season. He has contributed with the ball (7 wickets) as well. Reddy will be a key player here for SRH where the new ball moves around quite a lot.
Key bowler picks:
Eshan Malinga has 16 wickets to his name in 11 matches so far. He is the main bowler for SRH, bowling at every phase of the match. Malinga has bowled smartly and has used the conditions well. He is likeliest to take 2+ wickets according to SPODA AI predictive analysis (52.38% probability).
Kagiso Rabada has 18 wickets in 11 games this season. He is bowling at a very high pace and extracting good movement and bounce off the wicket. 14 of Rabada’s 18 wickets have come at Ahmedabad (6 matches). Try him as C/VC if GT bowls first.
Pat Cummins took the lead in the last game and bowled upfront with the new ball. Cummins can bat if needed, and he will enjoy the conditions at Ahmedabad for this match.
Other Players to Consider for Your Fantasy Cricket Team
Mohammed Siraj.
Washington Sundar.
Sakib Hussain.
Rashid Khan.

IPL 2026 56th Match: GT vs SRH Match Prediction: Who will win?
Both teams are in great form in IPL 2026. It will be a straight battle between Sunrisers’ batting and Gujarat’s pace bowlers, especially in the powerplay, that will decide the outcome of the game. GT’s middle order is yet to be tested properly; one time when the top 3 failed, they lost the game by 99 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad to win.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) will meet the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 55th match of IPL 2026 on 11th May 2026 at 7:30 IST. HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala, will host this game. The Kings are 4th in the table with six wins and three defeats, while the Capitals are 7th with four wins and seven losses in 11 matches. PBKS famously chased down 264 runs earlier this season against DC.
Punjab Kings won six matches on the trot before losing their last three matches. Their openers and Shreyas Iyer have failed to get going in these defeats, and the bowlers have been below average as well. Marcus Stoinis and Suryansh Shedge have looked in good touch with the bat, while Cooper Connolly scored a brilliant century in a losing cause in the last match against SRH.
Punjab needs consistency from the top 4 batters and their entire bowling group in the remaining matches. Also, they must take their catches. Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Marco Jansen, and Shreyas Iyer, alongside the openers, must step up in the business end of the league.
The Capitals, on the other hand, have been below average this season. The middle order seems non-existent in the last two matches. The onus will be on the shoulders of KL Rahul, Pathum Nissanka, and even Nitish Rana to do the majority of the scoring. Sameer Rizvi has also done well, but they’ll need more contribution from Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel.
Bowling-wise, while Mitchell Starc and Lungi Ngidi form a very strong pace duo, the third pacer has been an issue for DC. Kuldeep Yadav has had a tough season to date, while Axar Patel has been average with the ball. Delhi will look to register a win in this match and settle the score against the Kings.
IPL 2026 55th Match: PBKS vs DC Probable Playing XIIs
The Punjab Kings are expected to be unchanged, but they could bring in Harpreet Brar for this match.
This will be the first match at the HPCA Stadium in IPL 2026. The average first innings score in T20s in 2025 was 236 runs, and teams batting first won four of the five matches played here.
A high scoring match is expected, especially if the Punjab Kings bat first. The new ball will move around a bit, and there’ll be something for the spinners as well. Scores in the range of 180-200 are expected.
It will be a little cloudy with the temperature being around 16-17 degrees Celsius at the start of the game. Rain is predicted ahead of the game, but we should have a full match.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for PBKS vs DC: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top wicketkeeper picks:
Prabhsimran Singh has been dismissed cheaply in the last two matches, and he’ll be eager to do well in this one. He scored 76 runs in just 26 deliveries in the last game against the Capitals. He will look to attack from the first ball and will be a good C/VC pick.
KL Rahul scored 152* runs in the last meeting against PBKS. He’s the best batter for his team and a proven performer in the IPL. Rahul is third in the Orange Cap list with 468 runs in 11 matches, including a century and three fifties. Rahul is another excellent C/VC option.
Key batter picks:
Priyansh Arya has the highest strike rate this season – 242.37 – in nine matches at an average of 31.77. Arya has failed in the last few matches, and it’s high time now that he gets going. Arya will look to attack from the word go and will be a good C/VC option in this game.
Shreyas Iyer has333 runs in nine innings this season, including four fifties. Iyer is PBKS’ backbone with the bat, and he’s failed in the last three matches. Iyer will be determined to lead from the front in this match and will be the best captain choice.
Top all-rounder picks:
Axar Patel has been poor with the bat, but he has picked up 10 wickets this season, and he’ll contribute in the field too. Axar can target Punjab’s middle order, as they have a right-hand-heavy batting unit.
Marcus Stoinis has looked in sublime touch in this season. He has always performed when the team has needed him in IPL 2026. Stoinis has 178 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of over 190.
Cooper Connolly is one of the best youngsters in the tournament. He’s batting at three and has done a phenomenal job for PBKS. He has scored 377 runs in nine innings at an average of 53.85 at a strike rate of 171.36 with one century and two fifties.
Key bowler picks:
Mitchell Starc went for 31 runs in the last match in three overs, but he’s a genuine wicket-taker with the new ball and can bowl equally well towards the end of the innings. Starc can trouble Punjab’s top 4, especially with the new ball.
Lungi Ngidi’s slower delivery can prove to be very useful against Punjab’s aggressive batting approach. Ngidi has a very deceptive slower delivery and he’s overall bowling well this season with eight wickets to his name.

IPL 2026 55th Match: PBKS vs DC Match Prediction: Who will win?
Punjab Kings will be the clear favorites to win this game, but their bowling is a concern, and Delhi will fancy their chances while chasing. The Capitals are also struggling with their bowling, and their batting too has failed to get going. Overall, based on current form and squad depth, Punjab will win.
Punjab Kings to win.

Cricket Australia (CA) finds itself in a difficult predicament with players reportedly unhappy with what is being offered financially.
Last month, CA announced its list of centrally contracted players for next season. However, according to CODE Sports, at least five top level players are pushing back on these national contracts. They have not yet signed, with the masthead citing lack of satisfaction with the money being offered in comparison to the likes of Pat Cummins and Travis Head, who are set to be offered huge deals.
The belief is these players wish to be compensated more for their loyalty to Australia in a world of cashed-up T20 leagues.
Cricket Australia have offered Pat Cummins a contract extension until 2029 that would raise his earnings to approximately $4 million per year [via @danbrettig – The Age]
In other cases, players are chasing no objection certificates (NOCs) which offers greater flexibility when choosing to play in overseas leagues. It is a common situation in New Zealand, with the likes of Trent Boult and Kane Williamson forgoing central contracts in favour of becoming T20 ‘freelancers’ around the world.
Australia cricket contract crisis also involves the BBL
In another headache for CA, a number of Big Bash League (BBL) players are unhappy with the current situation. According to the aforementioned publication, 12 of the top BBL players formed a WhatsApp group back in October, discussing the perceived injustice of international imports earning over $100,000 more than the Australian stars.
These stars were reportedly willing to accept the predicament with the belief privatisation was around the corner. However, progress has stalled, with Cricket New South Wales and Queensland Cricket pushing back on CA’s BBL privatisation plan. This has reportedly left players furious and are threatening to reject BBL contract offers to instead chase opportunities in the cashed-up SA20 and UAE ILT20.
An example is Glenn Maxwell. According to reports, he is not considering his immediate BBL future as he signed a new two-year deal with the Melbourne Stars. But, the fact he is earning less than the likes of Luke Wood has been a topic of angst among the BBL’s biggest names.
CA keen for BBL privatisation, but face pushback
CA CEO Todd Greenberg is on record numerous times talking about the importance of privatisation in the BBL.
“Change doesn’t happen in cricket without a lot of push and shove because it’s a traditional conservation approach to the sport, which is what’s beautiful about it. But geez, if you sit back and watch the world unfold around you, particularly at this moment and time, I think you’re going to get run over,” he told The Grade Cricketer back in January.
However, Cricket NSW has pushed back on CA’s privatisation plan, with NSW board member Ed Cowan dismissing a lot of the doom and gloom put forward around players potentially leaving for the SA20.
“That’s really being pushed quite hard and particularly the threat of the SA20 becoming the January major event … I think it’s a total furphy and it’s being used incorrectly,” he said on Grandstand Cricket Podcast in March.
Also, captain Pat Cummins is on record saying that change is needed, as players in the future could forgo the opportunity to play for Australia.
“For example, during the Hundred this season we’ve got two Test matches against Bangladesh. All our guys that will play in that Test match have opted out of going to the Hundred auction but that’s not going to be the case forever,” Cummins said on the Business of Sport podcast earlier this year.
“Some of our guys are saying no to half-a-million pounds for 20 days’ work to go and play those two Test matches against Bangladesh. I think it is a tension point. At the moment our guys are so keen to play for Australia that they’re happy to forgo that, but I don’t think we can accept that that is going to be the case forever.”

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will lock horns against the Mumabi Indians (MI) in the 54th game of IPL 2026. This game will be played at Raipur on 10th May 2026 at 7:30 PM IST.
RCB won the first game between these two sides this season by 18 runs. This will be a crucial game for RCB to strengthen their position in the points table, while MI must win this game to keep their slightest of hopes alive for the playoffs.
RCB lost their last game against the Lucknow Super Giants by 9 runs. It was their fourth defeat of this season, and they are 4th in the table with 6 wins. Bowling has been a concern for the defending champions in the last few matches, as except for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, none of the other bowlers are looking in good rhythm, including Josh Hazlewood.
With the bat, Jacob Bethell has failed to get going, and Jitesh Sharma has also failed throughout this season. Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Devdutt Padikkal, alongside Tim David, are the in-form batters for RCB. They’ll also require consistency from the likes of Suyash Sharma, Rasikh Salam Dar, and Hazlewood. Overall, RCB is one of the most balanced sides in the league, and they’ll look to avoid a hat trick of losses in this game.
Meanwhile, MI finally played how they are known to play in their last match. They chased down 228 runs with 1.2 overs to go. But there are a lot of areas where MI needs to improve, and their season is nearly over. In the last game, Rohit Sharma (84 runs) and Ryan Rickelton (83 runs) were the only batters to contribute.
Others still struggled despite getting a solid start. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav must take responsibility now for MI. Will Jacks provides good depth to their squad.
Jasprit Bumrah is having a hard time in IPL 2026, but the other bowlers have also failed to make an impact. Apart from Allah Ghazanfar, none of the MI bowlers inspire confidence. Mumbai will look to settle the score with RCB by winning this match.
IPL 2026 54th Match: RCB vs MI Probable Playing XIIs
RCB should be unchanged for this match but they may bring in Jordan Cox for Jacob Bethell. Devdutt Padikkal will open in that case.

Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Raipur International Stadium Pitch Report and Weather
This will be the first IPL game at Raipur since 2016. The last T20I played here was earlier this year in January, where India chased down 208 runs against New Zealand.
A good batting wicket is expected, but there will be something for the bowlers too. Spinners are expected to get some turn off the wicket, especially when the ball gets a bit older. Chasing will be a sensible decision here. Expect scores in the range of 180-200.
It will be partly cloudy during the game, but there are no chances of rain. The temperature will be around 31-32 degrees Celsius, and dew shouldn’t be a factor due to the weather.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for RCB vs MI: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top wicketkeeper picks:
Ryan Rickelton will be the no-brainer in your fantasy teams. In IPL 2026, he has scored 380 runs in 8 matches at an average of 54.28 and has struck at a rate of 190.95 with two fifties and a century. Rickelton has been in sublime touch and can score big once he gets going.
Key batter picks:
Virat Kohli has 379 runs in 10 matches in at an average of 47.34 with 3 fifties and a strike rate of 164.06. Kohli was out for a duck in the last game, and he’ll be eager to do well in this match. Virat will be a top C/VC option – he is considered the likeliest to make a 30+ score according to SPODA AI predictive analysis (48.70% chance).
Rajat Patidar showed why he’s rated so highly in the last game. He scored 61 runs in 31 deliveries and single-handedly kept his side in the hunt after two quick wickets. Patidar is a genuine six-hitter and will be another top C/VC option. He has 318 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 200 with three half-centuries in IPL 2026.
Rohit Sharma has 221 runs in 5 matches in IPL 2026 with two fifties. He has batted very positively this season and will be a key batter for MI at the top. He is known for scoring big on his day, which makes him an excellent captain pick.
Top all-rounder picks:
Will Jacks will do the finishing duties for MI, and he may bowl an over or two if required. Jacks is in excellent touch with the bat, and he’s a utility player whom you can’t miss out on from your fantasy teams.
Key bowler picks:
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 17 wickets in 10 matches so far. He’s been excellent with the new ball, picking up wickets for fun, and has bowled well in the death overs too. Bhuvi is currently the best bowler for his team.
Allah Ghazanfar has 12 wickets in 8 matches so far. He went for runs in the last match, but it was a rare off-day for him. Ghazanfar can bowl in the powerplay and will be a key batter against Virat Kohli and the RCB top order.
Josh Hazlewood has 9 wickets in 7 matches, but he’s been very expensive in the last couple of games. His economy this season is 9.41. Hazlewood can trouble MI’s batters with his hard lengths and hit the deck bowling.
Ghazanfar (41.94% probability) and Hazlewood (41.54% probability) are considered the likeliest bowlers to take 2+ wickets today according to SPODA AI predictive analysis.

IPL 2026 54th Match: RCB vs MI Match Prediction: Who will win?
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will start as the favourites, but MI is coming on the back of a confident win in the last match. While RCB’s bowling has struggled a bit, their batters are in good form. Mumbai, on the other hand, is overdependent on their opening pair to do the bulk of their scoring. And their bowlers have been far from their best.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru to win.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 53rd match of IPL 2026. This is a day game and a very important one for CSK to keep their playoff hopes alive. LSG, meanwhile, are out of the playoffs race, but they’ll look to play for pride and may hamper CSK’s chances. The match will be played on 10th May 2026 at 3:30 PM IST.
Chennai Super Kings are 6th in the points table with 5 wins and 5 losses. They’ve won their last two matches, and this is another must-win if they are to qualify for the playoffs. The bowling unit has been in excellent form, and it’s the main reason for their strong performance. Akeal Hosein, Noor Ahmad, Anshul Kamboj, and Jamie Overton have been brilliant with the ball. Mukesh Kumar too has bowled well with the new ball.
Sanju Samson has been their best batter, but it feels like he’s doing the majority of the work. The likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dewald Brevis, and Kartik Sharma must take responsibility if CSK are to do well going ahead in the season.
On the other hand, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are at the bottom of the table. However, they’ve played well in the last few games, including beating RCB in their last match by 9 runs.
Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran have regained form, while Rishabh Pant also looked in excellent touch in the last game. But the form of other batters and Markram not opening the innings has been a strange decision from the LSG management. They have the option of playing Mukul Choudhary in the middle order with Markram opening. Josh Inglis can also slot in the middle order.
Bowling-wise, Prince Yadav continued with his excellent form, while Mohammed Shami has bowled well upfront with the new ball. The third pacer has been a bit of a headache for LSG, as Avesh Khan and Mayank Yadav have been very expensive, and there’s no update about Mohsin Khan’s availability. Digvesh Rathi and Shahbaz Ahmed also held their own in the last game.
IPL 2026 53rd Match: CSK vs LSG Probable Playing XIIs
CSK should be unchanged for this match.
Chennai Super Kings: 1. Sanju Samson, 2. Ruturaj Gaikwad (c), 3. Urvil Patel, 4. Sarfaraz Khan, 5. Dewald Brevis, 6. Shivam Dube, 7. Kartik Sharma, 8. Jamie Overton, 9. Akeal Hosein, 10. Noor Ahmad, 11. Anshul Kamboj, 12. Mukesh Choudhary
LSG may bring in Josh Inglis for Arshin Kulkarni and Manimaran Siddharth may replace Mayank Yadav
Lucknow Super Giants: 1. Mitchell Marsh, 2. Josh Inglis, 3. Nicholas Pooran, 4. Rishabh Pant (c & wk), 5. Aiden Markram, 6. Mukhul Choudhary, 7. Himmat Singh, 8. Mohammed Shami, 9. Prince Yadav 10. Avesh Khan, 11. Manimaran Siddharth, 12. Digvesh Rathi

MA Chidambaram Stadium Chepauk Chennai Pitch Report and Weather
The pitch at Chepauk in the last day game was a difficult one for batting, with the ball stopping and gripping. It was difficult to negate pacers bowling into the wicket and cutters.
Later on, it got better for batting in the second innings. So expect a similar wicket for this match as well. Scores in the range of 170-190 are expected, and teams may prefer chasing. The average first innings score here is 193, and chasing sides have won 2 of the 4 games played so far.
It will be 32 degrees Celsius at the start of the game with a little cloudiness but no chance of rain.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for CSK vs LSG: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top wicketkeeper picks:
Nicholas Pooran has looked in great touch in the last two matches. He has taken the attack to the bowlers, especially the spinners. Pooran will be a key batter for LSG against CSK’s spin attack.
Urvil Patel has looked good in his brief stays at the crease, but CSK will want more from him. He bats very aggressively and can change the course of the game in just a few overs.
Sanju Samson has been the best batter for CSK, scoring 402 runs at an average of 57.42 with a strike rate of 167.50. This includes two centuries and a fifty. Sanju has been the key architect in CSK’s success and will be a top C/VC pick.
Key batter picks:
Ruturaj Gaikwad scored two fifties in two matches before the last match, but he scored 6 off just 13 against DC. Try him as C/VC in some teams – SPODA AI predictive analysis gives him a 47.67% probability of making a 30+ score.
Dewald Brevis hasn’t been in good form, but he hasn’t had a lot of opportunities this season. Brevis a key player for CSK in the middle order, especially with his six-hitting prowess. He’ll be a top C/VC choice.
Top all-rounder picks:
Jamie Overton is another must pick from the Super Kings. He can trouble LSG’s middle order with his hard-length bowling, and he’s a capable hitter as well.
Key bowler picks:
Noor Ahmad has 11 wickets in 10 matches this season. He has found form in the last few games and has picked up wickets consistently during the middle overs. Noor will be a key for CSK against LSG’s middle order.
Akeal Hosein is another key bowler for CSK, especially with the new ball. He has 7 wickets in 5 matches so far. Akeal can bowl in any phase of the innings and will fancy his chances against LSG openers.
Anshul Kamboj has 17 wickets in 10 games this season at an economy of 8.91, and his bowling strike rate is 12.50. Kamboj has been the best bowler for CSK and will bowl in the powerplay, middle overs and then in the death overs as well. You can try him as captain.
Prince Yadav is going through his breakout season. He has 16 wickets so far at an economy of 8.08. SPODA AI predictive analysis lists him as the bowler with the highest probability of taking 2+ wickets today (41.86% chance).

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will meet the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 52nd game of IPL 2026. Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, will host this game on 9th May 2026 at 7:30 PM IST. The Royals won the first game between the two teams by 6 runs, and this game also promises to be a thrilling one between the two teams.
Rajasthan Royals are 4th in the points table with 6 wins in 10 matches. They lost their last match against the Delhi Capitals by 7 runs. Their batting has been mainly dependent on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top and Donovan Ferreira down the order. However, Riyan Parag (90 runs) finally got going this season.
While Rajasthan’s bowling looks good on paper, Jofra Archer is the only bowler who is showing consistency. Except for him, all the other bowlers have failed to pick up wickets, especially the pacers. Ravi Bishnoi started the season well but has gone off-track in the last few games. The likes of Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, and Ravi Bishnoi must come together as a group if the Royals are to win this match.
On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans have been on a roll in the last few games. They completed their hat-trick of wins by defeating the Punjab Kings in their last game. Their fast bowlers, especially Kagiso Rabada, have been exceptional, particularly at their home venue where there is help for the pacers early on. Mohammed Siraj has also bowled well, while Jason Holder seems to be the missing piece the Titans were desperately looking for. He’s contributing with the ball, bat, and in the field.
Arshad Khan and Rashid Khan have also been solid, with the top 3 being consistent as ever with the bat. Washington Sundar has done a good job holding the innings together at number 4 or 5. Overall, Gujarat will be a pretty confident side coming to this match, and they’ll look to settle the score with the Royals from earlier this season.
IPL 2026 52nd Match: RR vs GT Probable Playing XIIs
Gujarat Titans: 1. Shubman Gill (c), 2. Sai Sudharsan, 3. Jos Buttler (wk), 4. Nishant Sindhu, 5. Washington Sundar, 6. Rahul Tewatia, 7. Jason Holder, 8. Arshad Khan, 9. Rashid Khan, 10. Kagiso Rabada, 11. Mohammed Siraj, 12. Manav Suthar
Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur Pitch Report and Weather
The average first innings score at Jaipur is 226 runs this season, and both matches have been won by the chasing sides. Delhi Capitals chased down 225 runs in the last game while the Sunrisers chased down 228 runs earlier this season. A good batting wicket is expected with some assistance on offer for the pacers with the new ball.
The boundary dimensions are decent as well. Teams will prefer chasing and expect another high-scoring affair in this game.
The temperature will be very hot, around 37 degrees Celsius, with no chance of rain.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for RR vs GT: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top Wicket-Keeper Picks:
Jos Buttler has made starts this season but has failed to convert them into big scores. Despite that, he’s been in good touch till now with 335 runs in 10 matches at a strike rate of 152.96, averaging 37.22 with two fifties. Buttler will be a must in fantasy cricket, and you can try him as C/VC, especially while chasing.
Dhurv Jurel has 290 runs in 10 matches with 3 fifties to his name. Jurel started the tournament really well but has gone hot and cold after the initial matches. He’s a key batter for the Royals at 3 and will be another top fantasy pick. He scored 75 runs in the first meeting against GT this season.
Key batter picks:
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has 404 runs at an average of 40.40, and his strike rate is 237.54 this season with one century and 2 fifties. He will look to attack from ball one and can decimate any bowling unit on his day. Vaibhav will have to be cautious against GT’s in-form pace attack. He will be an excellent C/VC choice too.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is another top batter for RR to pick in fantasy cricket for this game. He’s one of the best opening batters in the league and has done a good job till now. Despite the fact he has only one knock of 51 runs in the last three innings with two single-digit scores, he’ll be someone you can back as the captain in fantasy cricket for this match.
Sai Sudharsan is taking his time and holding one end while chasing moderate targets, and it has worked wonders for GT. His last four innings read: 57 runs, 6 runs, 87 runs, and 100 runs. He scored 73 runs in the first game against RR. Sai has 385 runs at a strike rate of 158.43 this season. He’ll be someone you can’t miss out on.
Shubman Gill has 378 runs in 9 matches at an average of 42, and his strike rate is 154.91 with three fifties. He’s been aggressive in the powerplay and has looked to take on the bowlers. Gill is looking in fluent touch and a big knock feels around the corner for him. You can try him as C/VC as well.
Top all-rounder picks:
Donovan Ferreira has 229 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 177.51 with two fifties at an average of 45.80 this season. He’s been finishing games very consistently for the Royals and can bowl an over or two as well considering the number of left-handers in Gujarat. Ferreira will be a must in your fantasy teams.
Jason Holder picked up 7 wickets in 4 games so far at an economy of 6.94. Holder is capable with the bat too and he’ll fetch points from batting, bowling, and fielding. He’s been a key member of the GT side and will be a top C/VC option too, especially while bowling first.
Key bowler picks:
Kagiso Rabada has 16 wickets in 10 matches till now. He’s picking up wickets for fun, especially with the new ball. Rabada will fancy his chances against RR’s aggressive opening duo. He can help GT win the match in the first six overs itself.
Jofra Archer is doing a similar role for Rajasthan this season. He’s picked up a wicket in the first over three times in IPL 2026. Archer has 15 wickets in 10 matches so far. He will be Rajasthan’s best answer to Guajrat’s top 3.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to expand to 94 matches in 2028. According to India Today, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal has said that the league will have a full ‘home and away’ format with each side playing two matches against each other.
IPL expanding to 94 teams the ideal situation – Chairman
“With the given set of teams, only we can go for more number of matches. So it doesn’t make sense as of now to increase the number of teams,” Dhumal said.
“Because if we have to have an equal number of home and away matches, from 74 we can go up to 94. That would be the ideal situation.”
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is the biggest and best franchise cricket league around the globe. It is amongst the best sporting leagues in the world, competing with some of the biggest leagues like the NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.
The IPL started back in 2008 with eight teams. Two more teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants, were added in 2022. Before that, the league used to follow an away and home format where teams used to play two games against each franchise, one away and one at their home.
But from 2022, that format was not in use, as the number of matches would’ve increased. Right now, teams play two matches against most franchises and only one match with the remaining teams. However, the proposed move to 94 matches will mainly depend on a longer window from the ICC, as this move will overlap international cricket.
“Since the bilaterals are locked in till 2027, we would need a bigger window to raise the number of games from 74 to 94,” Dhumal said.
“So we are looking for a bigger window post-2027 bilateral cycle. In case we can get that, we will definitely try to have 94 games.”
Fans react to IPL’s possible expansion
While the expansion is proposed to make the league simple for the fans and broadcasters, the current ‘virtual group’ system can be a little confusing for some. The BCCI will be hopeful that this expansion will be more lucrative for the broadcasters and sponsors.
Fans have given their early opinions on the expansion, and it’s important after IPL 2026 saw a dip in their viewership and rating. Here are some fan reactions on the news:
18 league matches per team?
At some point, quantity starts hurting quality.
Back when there were just 8 teams, IPL used to feel way more special and exciting. pic.twitter.com/KNrhb7qW4o
That BCCI is going to increase the number of IPL matches to 94 in the next rights cycle is not news.
That they have categorically chosen not to increase the number of matches from 74 to even 84 (forget 94) — despite mentioning it in the existing media rights tender — is news.
IPL for a month is good, anything beyond that makes it boring. People would love watching international cricket more than the IPL. Hopefully Cricket doesn't become Football, where everyone plays league matches throughout the out and hardly any international matches
This year IPL has shown sign of losing its charm. Who will watch these many games now? Bollywood has already stopped getting scared of IPL by releasing movies. Even regional cinema is doing the same. I believe if this decision is true then IPL will become just another league. Yes…
WowThe IPL is officially taking over the calendar. 🚨 18 league matches per team means total dominance. RIP to any other international cricket from March to June! 💸🔥 thats

Two struggling teams, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), meet in the 51st match of IPL 2026. Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, will host this match on 8th May 2026 at 7:30 PM IST.
DC are 7th in the points table with 4 wins in 10 matches. They’ve lost 4 of their last 5 matches and have gone off track after being in a comfortable position at one point in the tournament. They now need to win all their remaining 4 games to be in the hunt for a place in the top 4. The Capitals have failed to click as a unit, and for some reason, despite having some of the best players, they don’t seem like a team the opposition are intimidated by.
KL Rahul has done well at the top with Nitish Rana complementing him, but none of the other batters have got going and shown any promise. Their decision to drop David Miller has been controversial. The bowling has been ineffective overall, especially the spin duo of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav. Overall, apart from KL Rahul, the whole side has been disappointing so far, and it’s high time they regroup and perform during this do-or-die situation.
KKR, on the other hand, are coming off a hat trick of wins after losing 5 matches in a row. They defeated the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last match and will be the confident side coming to this match. The bowlers, especially Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine, have been brilliant, while Rinku Singh has been exceptional in the last three wins for KKR.
Finn Allen brought in that missing x-factor at the top in the last match, but they still need consistency from the likes of Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, and skipper Ajinkya Rahane. Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been impressive so far.
Apart from the spin duo, Kartik Tyagi has done well, and Vaibhav Arora has been average. KKR will require more from their pacers, especially with the new ball. They may look to bring in Matheesha Pathirana to bolster their bowling. Overall, based on current form, the Knight Riders are looking good as a team.
IPL 2026 51st Match: DC vs KKR Probable Playing XIIs
David Miller should play this match with either Abhishek Porel or Sahil Parakh opening. T Natarajan can also make way for an Indian pacer.
Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi Pitch Report and Weather
The pitch at Delhi has been a good one for batting, but there has been some assistance for the bowlers as well. It was on the slower side in the last match between CSK and DC, but expect a good batting track in this game.
Batting becomes easier as the game progresses, and chasing sides winning 4 of the 6 matches played here reflects the same. Spinners will find some assistance, especially in the first innings. The average first innings score here this season is 173 runs.
The weather will be clear with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 33 degrees Celsius when the game starts. Dew isn’t expected in this match.
Fantasy Cricket Tips for DC vs KKR: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top wicketkeeper Picks:
Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 59 runs in the last game. He’s the highest run scorer for KKR this season, with 268 runs and 3 fifties to his name. Raghuvanshi will bat at 3, and he must be in your fantasy teams considering his current form and wicket-keeping value.
KL Rahul has 445 runs so far in 10 matches at an average of 49.44 and has a strike rate of 180.89 with 3 fifties and a hundred in IPL 2026. Rahul has been one of the best batters this season and will be a top C/VC option as well. He has a 49.66% probability of making a 30% score according to SPODA AI predictive analysis – the highest of any player.
Key batter picks:
Finn Allen has failed to get going this season, but he’s looking in decent touch, and he’s known to be ultra aggressive. He has 110 runs till now at a strike rate of 200. Allen can give KKR the upper hand if he plays even for the first six overs. Try him as C/VC in some of your teams.
Rinku Singh is averaging 59.25 at a strike rate of 145.39 for his 237 runs this season. He has two fifties in winning causes as well. He is a good hitter of pace and spin and will be an ideal fantasy pick for this match.
Top all-rounder picks:
Axar Patel has been in poor form this season, but he will be a key bowler for his team against KKR’s top order, especially against Rahane and Allen. Axar is a good player of spin with the bat and will be important against KKR’s spin duo. He will be a top differential C/VC option.
Cameron Green will bat at 3 or 4, and he’ll be itching to perform in this match. He batted at 5 in the last game, which isn’t his ideal batting position. Green bowled 3 overs and picked up one wicket last time out. He will be another good C/VC pick, especially while batting first.
Sunil Narine will pose a big threat to Delhi’s middle order. He is a proven match-winner and has been consistent as ever. Narine just doesn’t concede runs and picks up wickets. He has 9 wickets at an economy of 6.80 this season.
Key bowler picks:
Varun Chakaravarthy has 10 wickets in the last four matches. He picked up 3 wickets in the last game against SRH. Varun is another big threat to Delhi’s middle order, as he’s in great form and he picks up wickets in clusters. Chakarvarthy is another top C/VC choice.
Mitchell Starc went wicketless in the last match, but he will fancy his chances against KKR’s top order. Rahane and Raghuvanshi can be troubled if the ball swings, and Allen will look to attack from the first ball, so he’ll have more chances of dismissing him. Starc has a 50% probability of taking 2+ wickets as per SPODA AI predictive analysis.

While Delhi Capitals are one position above KKR in the points table, the Knight Riders will start as the favourites to win this game. Their batters are looking in much better flow compared to Delhi, and their bowlers are in excellent form, which is not the case with the Capitals.
