The 58th match of IPL 2025 has almost a quarter-final like feel to it. While it’s not the end of the road for the losing team, getting the two points here is so vital in the race for the playoffs.

Delhi Capitals (DC), who are in need of a revival in form, travel to Dharamshala to play the in-form Punjab Kings (PBKS). After such a brilliant first half of the campaign, DC have lost their way, losing four of their last six completed matches to now sit fifth.

Also, DC looked to have got lucky in their last outing, with the Hyderabad rain stopping them from having to defend a low 133/7 after a disappointing performance from their top order. Now is the time to step up as victory here will put them back in the top four.

For PBKS, they will want more of the same they produced last game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The batting was dominant, with Prabhsimran Singh setting things up yet again. PBKS smashed 236/5 against LSG here. Bowling second, PBKS found movement in the air and off the pitch to reduce LSG to 27/3 in 4.2 overs. Some late hitting got LSG to 199/7 as conditions eased out.

There is a chance of rain in the afternoon, but AccuWeather forecasts mostly clear conditions and a top of around 18 degrees. Batting first could be an option, but the possibility of dew may prompt the captain who wins the toss to chase.

• Axar Patel has picked up four wickets in his past two innings. Spinners may not have as much as a say in Dharamshala, but he Axar remains a strong Dream11 fantasy pick as he bats at five. However, Axar could use himself in the powerplay as he has good numbers against Prabhsimran Singh: 26 balls, 24 runs, one wicket.

Key bowler picks:

• Arshdeep Singh had the ball on a string at Dharamshala a few nights ago, swinging the ball both ways to beautiful effect (3/16). He is a genuine vc option in Dream11 especially if PBKS bowls second. He has good head-to-head numbers against KL Rahul: 25 balls, 31 runs, two wickets.
