RCB vs DC Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report: IPL 2023 Match 20 | RCB vs DC Dream11 Prediction Today | Bengaluru Pitch Report
Is it now or never for Delhi Capitals (DC)? With Gujarat, Lucknow, Rajasthan and co. in good touch, the Capitals must win this clash to avoid falling way too far behind the leaders of the pack.
To do that, their batsmen must step up. The lack of runs is having an impact on David Warner, whose strike rate is reflective of a player who believes he cannot be dismissed early otherwise his team may be bowled out for under 100. There is no better opportunity to score runs than at the batting paradise that is the Chinnaswamy, so now is the time for DC to step up.
There is also a sense of urgency for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After an excellent first win against Mumbai Indians, Faf du Plessis’ team has since lost two in a row. Their bowling in the middle overs was a real struggle against LSG, but the expected appearance of Wanindu Hasaranga can be a massive boost to RCB.
But, another key question is whether they have enough batting depth to reduce their reliance on du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Indeed, therein lies an opportunity for the Capitals. Crucial match.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
- Virat Kohli is 51 away from reaching 1,000 runs against Delhi. He averages a superb 52.72 and strikes at 135.57 against them.
- Kohli is also 95 away from 3,000 T20 runs at the Chinnaswamy (avg. 38.22, SR 140.68). He has struck 82* and 61 on this ground so far this season.
- Faf du Plessis has also enjoyed batting on this ground this season. He has struck 73 and 79*. But, his powerplay strike rate – 112 in the IPL since the start of 2022 – will be in focus.
- Since the start of 2021, Glenn Maxwell has smashed 131 runs in three matches against DC at an average of 65.50 and strike rate of 150.57.
- Maxwell vs Kuldeep can be a fascinating battle. Kuldeep has dismissed Maxwell thrice in 21 balls in the IPL, but the right-hander has smashed 59 runs.
- Speaking of RCB’s middle overs struggles, Wanindu Hasaranga can help solve them. Out of his 26 wickets in IPL 2022, 19 of them came between overs 7-15.
- Watch out for Mohammed Siraj against the struggling DC top order. He has dismissed Prithvi Shaw thrice in 27 balls, conceding 41 in the process.
Delhi Capitals:
- David Warner has struck three half-centuries in four matches this season. But, the strike rate of 114.83 is under the spotlight.
- Warner has an incredible past record at M. Chinnaswamy (470 runs, avg. 58.75, SR 169.06) and against RCB (820 runs, avg. 45.56, SR 161.42).
- The struggling Prithvi Shaw will have to turn around his modest record against RCB (184 runs, avg. 23.00). He did show glimpses last game against MI, but can he produce anything significant?
- Axar Patel will be vital with both bat and ball for DC. He struck a superb 54 against MI to get his team into the game, and has taken seven wickets in as many matches against RCB since the start of 2019.
- Axar has good numbers against du Plessis in T20s, with total figures of 3/81 off 73 balls.
- Anrich Nortje was outstanding at the death vs MI, but he can also have a key role to play up top. He has dismissed Faf du Plessis twice in 26 deliveries in T20s, conceding just 33.
- Nortje has taken seven wickets in three matches against RCB at an average of 11.29 and economy of 6.58.
Other Stats and Facts
- Head-to-head: Matches 29, RCB 18, DC 10, N/R 1.
- Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav could be key in limiting Kohli’s impact. Virat strikes at just 113.8 against Axar (58 balls) and 105.7 against Kuldeep (35 balls).
- Dinesh Karthik smashed 66* (34) against DC last season. But, he averages just 15.50 in 20 innings at the M Chinnaswamy.
- Mohammed Siraj vs David Warner in the IPL: 23 balls, 42 runs, one dismissal.
