Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 14th match of IPL 2025. RCB are sitting pretty at the top of the table with two wins in two games. Gujarat, meanwhile, are in fourth position with a win and loss. Both sides have shown good signs, and it promises to be an exciting contest. 

RCB defeated CSK by 50 runs in their last game which is a big boost to their confidence. The batters have been in good form and the bowlers have delivered as a unit. Virat Kohli, Phil Salt and Rajat Patidar will be the key batters for the hosts in this game.  Liam Livingstone’s form with the bat will be a concern and the team management would like to see Jitesh Sharma score some runs as well. Tim David showed his hitting prowess in the last game. 

Josh Hazlewood has been exceptional and will be crucial against GT’s strong top three. Bhuvneshwar Kumar looked in good rhythm, and will also be key up top especially. Yash Dayal has been in good form as well.

On the other hand, GT registered a dominating 36-run win over the Mumbai Indians. Their batters have been in good form, especially the top three but there is still plenty of room for improvement. Shubman Gill has made starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler have done well but the middle order has failed in the first two games. 

Sherfane Rutherford has looked in decent touch but they’ll need the other batters to step up. Bowling-wise, Rashid Khan has been far from his best. Mohammed Siraj was excellent with the new ball and Prasidh Krishna in the middle overs. R Sai Kishore will be a key bowler for GT in this game.

Chinnaswamy is amongst the best batting venues in India and the batters are expected to dominate this match. Last season, there was some help for the pacers with the new ball and it should be there for this game too. Both teams have good powerplay bowlers.

New ball bowlers and batters will play a key role in this game with scores in the range of 180-200 expected.

It’s expected to be partly cloudy with no chance of rain. The temperature will be around 27 degrees Celsius at the start of the game. Humidity will be around 50-60%.

• Phil Salt has been in good touch in the first two games this season. He has looked to attack from ball one and maximise the powerplay. Salt can face some difficulties against Siraj with the new ball but he will be a top fantasy pick.
• Jos Buttler loves playing against RCB. He scored a 58-ball hundred against them last season. Buttler has 516 runs against RCB at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 150.40 including two fifties and two centuries. 

Key batter picks: 

• Virat Kohli has 344 runs against GT in 5 innings at an average of 114.70 at a strike rate of 143.90 including three fifties and a hundred. Kohli is in great form at the moment and will be a top C/VC choice
• Shubman Gill has 304 runs in 13 innings against RCB. He averages 30.40 at a strike rate of 139.40 and has scored a hundred against RCB without any fifties. A big knock is due from Gill this might be the game where he goes big.
• Rajat Patidar will be a key batter for his side against Gujarat’s spin duo of Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan. He scored a match-winning fifty in the last game against CSK. Patidar will be a top fantasy pick.

Top all-rounder picks: 

• Liam Livingstone will be the best all-rounder pick for this game. His form with the bat is not that great but he will bat at five and will bowl a few overs as well. Livingstone needs to be cautious against Sai Kishore and Rashid Khan.  

Key bowler picks: 

• Josh Hazlewood was the star for RCB in the last game against CSK. He can bowl in any phase of the game. Hazlewood is in top form and will be a must in your fantasy teams.
• Rashid Khan has 15 wickets in 15 games against RCB. He went wicket-less against them in IPL 2024 and his current form is not that great either. But Rashid is arguably the best spinner in white ball cricket and he can pick up wickets in clusters against RCB’s potentially vulnerable middle-order. 
• R Sai Kishore will be an excellent differential pick for this game. He has been in good form this season and he will fancy his chances against RCB’s middle order. Sai Kishore can be the game changer in fantasy cricket in this game.
