A player extremely popular both in India and Bangladesh, he is visiting India availing India-Bangladesh Air Bubble arrangement,” India in Bangladesh wrote on Twitter.
In an interaction with ESPNCricinfo, Mahmudullah Riyad said that the national team is extremely happy to welcome back the player. The all-rounder who was consistently ICC’s no.1 in all three formats of the game for a decade is reportedly spending some quality time with his family in America.
In a media report, we have learned that the fitness test was planned outside the National Team, High-Performance Team and Under 19 setups as they were practicing at these places recently. Shakib completed the beep test and then spent an hour in the BCB gymnasium under the supervision of BCB’s strength and conditioning coach Nick Lee.
In a video posted on his official YouTube channel, he said that the break helped him in many ways and mostly positive. “Lot of doors opened for me and I can think about life differently, it’s a blessing in disguise. I don’t regret this one year. “When a man comes back from this situation he is much more matured. Now I think differently than before and it will surely help me in my life”, he said.
