SL vs NED Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report ODI WC Qualifier 2023 Match 22 | SL vs NED Dream11 Prediction Today | Bulawayo Pitch Report

For the first time since 2006, Sri Lanka and Netherlands will do battle in an ODI. And, so much is at stake.

Sri Lanka, courtesy of solid wins against Scotland and Oman, enter the super six stage in pole position. However, their batting left a bit to be desired a few days ago, so they will want to be at their best here with their spinners in excellent form. Indeed, a solid win here will put ODI World Cup qualification on their doorstep.

For the Dutch, their efforts in reaching this stage is commendable, with the highlight undoubtedly that incredible victory in the super over against West Indies. They looked gone in pursuit of a mammoth 375, but the efforts of Teja Nidamanuru, Scott Edwards and Logan van Beek showed they are never down and out.

Victory for Netherlands will blow the super six stage wide open. It will be a tough ask given the number of first-team players they are without, but the last nine months have shown they can always spring a surprise.

SL vs NED Dream11 Prediction: Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Sri Lanka:

  • Dimuth Karunaratne will be key in providing solidity at the top of the order. The left-hander has scored two fifties and a century in this tournament.
  • Pathum Nissanka is averaging 50.00 in ODIs since the start of 2022. He has scored 950 runs in this period, which includes two half-centuries in this tournament.
  • Charith Asalanka will be key in the middle overs with his range of shots against spin. His 149 runs in this competition come at an average of 74.50 and strike rate of 126.27.
  • Since the start of 2021, Asalanka has scored 751 runs between overs 11 and 40 at an average of 62.6 and strike rate of 86.5.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga is by far the highest wicket-taker in the 2023 ODI WC Qualifier (18). He is averaging 8.77 per wicket and strikes every 10.44 deliveries.
  • Netherlands have a number of right-handers which Hasaranga should enjoy; 45 of his 63 ODI wickets are right-handers.
  • Maheesh Theekshana was player of the match against Scotland on this ground. He took 3/41 and scored a handy 16* down the order.

Netherlands:

  • Teja Nidamanuru is coming off a classic hundred against West Indies, which was his second ODI century in Zimbabwe this year. His proactive play will be crucial against Sri Lanka’s spinners.
  • Bas de Leede’s all-round ability is key to his team’s hopes. He has picked up two wickets in each of his last three games, and has spent time at the crease in his last two outings: 41* and 33.
  • Logan van Beek produced one of the great efforts against West Indies. He was named player of the match for his boundary hitting – an asset the Dutch must look to take advantage of here. Also, van Beek has six wickets in this tournament.

Queens Sports Club Bulawayo Pitch Report and Weather

Zimbabwe and Oman enjoyed batting on this ground on Thursday, but the surface was on the slower side. There has been quite a bit of cricket played on the square, so the pitches are beginning to tire, bringing the spinners into the game.

In fact, in the Sri Lanka-Scotland game, spinners took 12 of the 18 wickets taken by bowlers.

A mostly sunny day is forecast once again with a top of about 24 degrees.
