STA vs REN Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report: BBL 2022/23 Match 27 | MS vs MR Dream11 Prediction Today | MCG Pitch Report

Last season, we were robbed of a strong Melbourne Derby due to COVID-19. This time around, both sides are missing players due to injury rather than illness, but we could be in for a cracking contest nonetheless.

The stakes are high. Both Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades have been under-par so far in BBL 12, but come into this game off the back of varying success. The Stars picked up a Marcus Stoinis-inspired win over Adelaide Strikers on New Year’s Eve, while the Renegades have lost four straight matches after starting the season so well.

One feels that the bowling side that has the better powerplay may go on to win this clash. The two sides don’t possess powerful finishing beyond their top four on paper, so early wickets can ramp up the pressure as the season nears its second half.

Match Details:

  • Location: Melbourne Cricket Ground.
  • Time: 7:15pm (local), 1:45pm (IST).

MCG Melbourne Pitch Report and Weather

A cool and overcast evening is forecast in Melbourne. The top temperature is expected to be just 19 degrees, with a small chance of a shower during the day.

In four matches at the MCG in the recent T20 World Cup, the average first innings score was 159.75, with something in the pitch for batsmen and bowlers. The bowlers here will be looking to bowl into the surface to try force hits to the long square boundaries.

Earlier in this BBL, Stars slammed 183/5 thanks to Joe Clarke’s century. They beat Hurricanes by 38 runs.
