T20 World Cup Match 10: AUS-W vs BD-W Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | AUS-W vs BD-W Dream11 Prediction Today | Junction Oval Pitch Report | Australia Women vs Bangladesh Women Preview Dream11 | AUS-W vs BD-W Key Players
What do we make of hosts Australia after two games? Shaky? A little nervous? Easing their way into their best form?
When you consider the Aussies were under-par in the recent Tri-Series as well, a lift in intensity and execution is needed. Today is their chance to make some ground on either India or New Zealand, as they play each other in the match before this one.
Bangladesh showed some good signs vs India, but their expensive start with the ball and lack of power with the bat ultimately proved vital. Their lack of high-level cricket in recent times doesn’t help, but that they have a match under their belt in the tournament can hold them in good stead.
Can they cause Australia problems, as Sri Lanka did?
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
- Alyssa Healy’s technique against in-swing bowling was a topic of conversation during and after the Sri Lanka game.
- Outside her 51 vs India, she has made six single-figure scores in her past seven knocks. Healy is key if Australia are to go to the next level.
- Beth Mooney has scored just 12 runs in the first two matches. However, she can’t be written off, particularly after scoring 208 runs in the recent Tri-Series, with three half-centuries.
- Rachael Haynes, promoted up the order in this T20 World Cup, rescued Australia last game (60 off 47 balls). She has been in decent touch of late, scoring 158 runs in her last six innings at 31.60.
- Meg Lanning, recipient of her 100th T20I cap last game, also spent some time at the crease in a crucial time (41* off 44 balls).
- Nigar Sultana is key for Bangladesh. She has 216 runs in her last five T20I innings, including a good 35 vs India at SR 134.61.
- Murshida Khatun also spent some time in the middle last game vs India (30 off 26).
- The last time Ellyse Perry played a T20I in Canberra: 4/13 with the ball, 49 (47) with the bat.
- Bangladesh need Fargana Hoque to have a good outing. She is Bangladesh’s highest ever run-scorer in T20Is (949). Can she forget her duck vs India in a hurry?
- Jess Jonassen in her last three T20Is: 5/12, 2/24, 1/23.
- Molly Strano (2/23 last game) took the most wickets in WBBL05 last year (24 scalps, avg. 16.91, SR: 13.7).
- Salma Khatun (62), Jahanara Alam (55), and Rumana Ahmed (55) are the three Bangladeshi bowlers with 50+ wickets. Nahida Akter, who went wicketless in the last game, needs one more to reach 50 (current bowling avg.: 12.79).
Stats and Facts
- Australia and Bangladesh are yet to play each other in a T20I.
- Bangladesh haven’t won any group stage matches since the 2014 Women’s World T20.

Manuka Oval Pitch Report and Conditions
Yesterday, Heather Knight smashed a century on what looked a true surface. Then, Pakistan easily chased down West Indies’ score of 124.
After a few matches are played on the square, the Manuka Oval track can begin to take some spin. The seamers will be required to take wickets in the powerplay (or keep things tight), of which the spinners can look to build on.
The weather forecast is pleasant in Canberra (mid-20s, no rain).

Match Prediction
Australia have been below their best, but should prove too good for a Bangladesh side that doesn’t possess the power the Australians do.
