ZIM vs BAN 2nd T20 Dream11 Prediction & Fan2Play Possible 11 Pitch Report | ZIM vs BAN 2nd T20 Dream11 Prediction Today | Harare Pitch Report

It was quite the day at Harare Sports Club on Saturday. A big, vocal crowd got right behind Zimbabwe as they sealed an excellent victory over Bangladesh, soon after winning the T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament earlier this month.

Sikandar Raza continued from where he left off in that tournament. His 65* off 26 balls blew the Tigers away, after Wessly Madhevere and Sean Williams set the groundwork. You can bet that he is glad that the second T20I is on the very next day.

So too the Zimbabwe bowlers. Richard Ngavara’s brilliant 19th over under pressure is cause for optimism, and they will be out for another strong showing in the absence of Blessing Muzarabani and Tendai Chatara.

For Bangladesh, it looked on paper that their batting was thin given that 391 matches worth of experience was missing in the form of Shakib, Mushfiqur, Mahmudullah and Tamim. However, it is the bowling that is now under the spotlight, after they crucially conceded 77 runs in the final five overs of Zimbabwe’s innings.

If they don’t get their act together in the field, they will stare a 2-0 series deficit in the face.

ZIM vs BAN 2nd T20 Possible Playing 11

Wessly Madhevere retired hurt yesterday. However, he did come out to field.

Zimbabwe: 1. Regis Chakabva (wk), 2. Craig Ervine (c), 3. Wessly Madhevere, 4. Sean Williams, 5. Sikandar Raza, 6. Milton Shumba, 7. Ryan Burl, 8. Luke Jongwe, 9. Wellington Masakadza, 10. Richard Ngarava, 11. Tanaka Chivanga

Bangladesh could look to bring in Mahedi Hasan.

Bangladesh: 1. Munim Shahriar, 2. Litton Das, 3. Anamul Haque, 4. Najmul Hossain Shanto, 5. Afif Hossain, 6. Nurul Hasan (c & wk), 7. Mosaddek Hossain, 8. Mahedi Hasan/Taskin Ahmed, 9. Nasum Ahmed, 10. Mustafizur Rahman, 11. Shoriful Islam

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats

Zimbabwe:

  • Before the first T20I, Sikandar Raza averaged 7.91 in 12 T20Is vs Bangladesh. He blew that number out the window with a 25-ball 66* to win man of the match.
  • In the recent T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament, Raza smashed 228 runs in five matches at a strike rate of 176.74. He also took five wickets, including 4/8 in the Final.
  • Wessly Madhevere has now struck three half-centuries in four home T20Is against Bangladesh. His 67* yesterday took him to 217 runs at home against the Tigers at an average of 72.33 and strike rate of 133.95.
  • Madhevere also has the most T20I runs of any player at Harare: 10 inns, 360 runs, avg. 40.00, SR 129.49.
  • Sean Williams produced an impactful all-round display in the first T20I. His 33 (19) helped set the tone and he also bowled two very economical overs (0/7).
  • Ryan Burl didn’t get the opportunity to bat or bowl in the first T20I. If he gets the chance, watch out as he strikes at 169.33 vs Bangladesh (127 runs).
  • Luke Jongwe continued his love affair with Harare Sports Club. The seamer now has 23 wickets in 15 T20s on this ground at a strike rate of 11.5. He also has seven scalps in four T20Is vs Bangladesh.

Bangladesh:

  • Nurul Hasan played his best T20I knock yesterday. The Bangladesh captain kept his team in the hunt with a 26-ball 42*.
  • Much is required of Litton Das. He was looking in fine touch (32 off 19 balls) before a run out crucially ended his innings. Overall against Zimbabwe in T20Is, Litton has scored 225 runs in six innings at an average of 45.00 and strike rate of 149.00.
  • Najmul Hossain Shanto struck at 148 in the first T20I (37 off 25 balls). He is one of the key players that needs to link the top order and middle-lower order for Bangladesh.
  • Mustafizur Rahman finished poorly with the ball yesterday. He will be keen to bounce back against an opponent he usually enjoys bowling against (20 wickets in 10 matches vs ZIM, SR 11.8).
  • Shoriful Islam also had a poor outing. But, the law of averages suggest he could be back in wicket-taking form as he has gone wicketless in just six of his 22 T20Is. Also, he has seven wickets to his name in five T20Is against Zimbabwe.

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head: Matches 17, Zimbabwe 6, Bangladesh 11.
  • Bangladesh have lost 11 of their last 12 completed T20Is.
  • Craig Ervine averages just 17.33 vs Bangladesh (6 inns) and 14.52 in 11 T20Is at Harare.
  • Regis Chakabva averages only 16.71 in seven matches vs the Tigers. However, his strike rate of 146.25 is cause for optimism.
  • Bangladesh will be well served batting Afif Hossain up the order. He strikes at 148.61 in five T20 innings vs Zimbabwe.
  • Zimbabwe have never won a T20I series against Bangladesh.

Harare Sports Club Pitch Report and Weather

Expect similar conditions to the first T20I. It was a belter of a batting surface and the weather was pleasant.

Zimbabwe’s 205 was well above the average of 155.22 in the previous nine T20Is. Also, the team batting first has won seven of the past ten T20Is at Harare.

ZIM vs BAN 2nd T20 Match Prediction: Who will win?

Zimbabwe look good for a win once again. However, as Harare favours team batting first, and given both teams are not the best when chasing, a score of 160-170+ could prove to be a tricky total to chase.
