Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will lock horns in the second qualifier of IPL 2026. Maharaja Yadvaindra Singh International Cricket Stadium will host this encounter. Both teams have won one game each against each other during the league stag, and it promises to be a cracking contest.
GT were decimated by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Qualifier 1, led by skipper Rajat Patidar. Then, the bowlers never allowed the Titans to get going with the bat.
Their bowlers struggled in the last match, and then it was just too difficult for their top three to chase it down. Apart from Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler, none of the GT batters have been very consistent. Washington Sundar played a few good knocks in the middle, but their batting is heavily reliant on the top three to win them matches.
The bowlers, especially the pacers, have been the key performers for the Titans. Kagiso Rabada (26 wickets), Jason Holder (15 wickets), and Mohammed Siraj (17 wickets) have all bowled exceptionally well in IPL 2026. Rashid Khan (19 wickets) and Prasidh Krishna (15 wickets) have also contributed nicely.
Gujarat’s hopes will also rest on how early they are able to dismiss Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. On the contrary, RR will hope that Vaibhav Sooryavanshi bats as long as possible, as he’s hitting sixes for fun. He destroyed the SRH bowling in the Eliminator, hitting 12 sixes and five fours in his 29-ball 97.
Apart from Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel is also in top form this season and has been the backbone of their middle order. Riyan Parag has also shown signs of returning to form, while Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shubham Dubey will be their finishers.
Jofra Archer is in the form of his life, as he’s picking up wickets in every match. Just like SRH, if Archer can get rid of Gujarat’s top order early, then Royals will be in the driving position in this game. Brijesh Sharma and Nandre Burger also bowled well in the Eliminator, while Yash Raj Punja has impressed everyone and is the wicket taker for RR in the middle overs.

Fantasy Cricket Tips for RR vs GT: Players to Watch/Key Stats
Top wicketkeeper picks:
- Jos Buttler scored a quick-fire 29 in the last match. He looked in good touch but failed to convert into a big score, which has been his story throughout this season. At number 3, Buttler will be a top fantasy pick, as he can tackle both pace and spin.
- Dhurv Jurel scored 50 off just 21 in the last game. It was his sixth fifty of this edition and a crucial knock as he kept the tempo going after Sooryavanshi’s onslaught. Jurel will be another excellent fantasy pick and a top C/VC option as well.
Key batter picks:
- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is in a league of his own. He is disrespecting the bowlers with his batting, and we saw how destructive he can be in the Eliminator. He’s currently the highest run-scorer in the league with 680 runs at an average of 45.33 and at a mind-boggling strike rate of 242.85. He will be a popular C/VC option as well.
- Yashasvi Jaiswal hasn’t been at his fluent best this season. He’s a key batter for his side at the top, as Jaiswal is a proven match-winner, and he can take down any bowling attack on his day. He has 426 runs with three fifties in 15 matches so far.
- Sai Sudharsan was unlucky in the last game. He’s super consistent with the bat, scoring runs in almost every match. He has 652 runs to his name with seven fifties and a century. Sudharsan will be another top C/VC option.
- Shubman Gill has 618 runs in 14 matches with six fifties. He will have to be cautious against Jofra Archer but apart from that, Gill could be in for a big score. He will eager to lead from the front and is among the best Dream11 captaincy choices.
Top all-rounder picks:
- Jason Holder has 15 wickets to his name so far. He is picking up wickets in every match and has added more depth to GT’s bowling. While his current form with the bat is abysmal, Holder is a capable hitter. He will be a must in your fantasy teams.
Key bowler picks:
- Kagiso Rabada has 26 wickets to his name in IPL 2026, and he’s currently the joint-highest wicket-taker of the season with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Rabada is picking up wickets with the new ball and will pose a threat to Vaibhav with his pace and bounce.
- Jofra Archer is the main man for RR with the ball. He is picking up wickets and not allowing the batting sides to get going. He’s bowling at a very rapid pace and at every phase of the innings. Archer is handy with the bat as well.
