Another day, another rain threat in an Afghanistan game. You have to go back to the opening night of the Super 12s for Afghanistan’s last match, with both their matches in Melbourne washed out without a ball bowled.

As Mohammad Nabi’s team moves north to Brisbane, the rain has unfortunately followed. Up to 15 to 30mm is forecast to fall in the city on Tuesday. However, the hope is that most – if not all – of the rain will fall in the morning, with more promising conditions expected in the afternoon. Indeed, Afghanistan will want to get on the field not only to try make a late run to the semi finals, but just to remind the world of what they are capable of.
