BBL 10 Qualifier: SCO vs SIX Preview Dream11 Possible 11 Pitch Report | PS vs SS Dream11 Prediction Today | Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers Key Players | Manuka Oval Canberra Pitch Report
What are you doing on this January Saturday? If you’re able to, be sure to tune in to what promises to be a thrilling clash between two of the best sides in BBL 10.
Sydney Sixers find themselves in familiar territory. Only thrice before have they missed out on the BBL playoffs, as their consistency and prowess shone once again en route to a top-of-the-table finish this season. The form of Josh Philippe, all-round brilliance of Dan Christian and reliability of their bowling attack has held them in good stead, and they will be after more of the same as they eye out a spot in the BBL 10 Final.
Perth Scorchers, after a disappointing last couple of years and awful start to this season, were then the competition’s most in-form team for most of BBL 10. A win here means a home final at their Optus Perth Stadium fortress, where no opposition team has picked up a victory this season. So, there is a lot at stake here, which calls for the Scorchers’ packed batting lineup, and fine bowling attack led by their seamers, to step up.

Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
Sydney Sixers:
- Josh Philippe is one of seven players to score 400+ runs in BBL 10. In fact, he has the second-most runs (454, avg. 32.42, SR 143.94), and scored a brilliant 84 off 52 balls in his last game vs Scorchers. Crucial player.
- Also, Philippe has made two scores of 74 in his two matches at Manuka Oval. He enjoys batting on this ground.
- James Vince is coming off a fine 46 (32) vs Stars, in a somewhat underwhelming season for him (344 runs, avg. 26.46, SR 131.80). Also, Sixers will be hoping he improves on an average of 23.00 vs Scorchers (5 inns, 115 runs) – his last innings vs Scorchers was a half-century.
- Moises Henriques has the most runs in Sixers-Scorchers matches (341, avg. 28.42).
- Dan Christian has had a season to remember. His 252 runs this season have come at an average of 36.00 and remarkable strike rate of 186.66. Add 13 wickets to that, too.
- Sean Abbott has the second-most wickets in Sixers-Scorchers matches (15 in 12 matches). One to watch.
- Ben Dwarshuis is coming off a player-of-the-match display vs Stars (3/27), and has the most wickets for Sixers in BBL 10 (19 in 12 matches).
Perth Scorchers:
- Colin Munro hit 34 (32) and 50 (34) vs Sixers this season, part of 411 runs overall at an average of 34.25 and SR 129.65. Key player.
- Jason Roy has struck 54 (32) and 41 (32) in his past two matches. He made two starts vs Sixers this season (27 off 31 balls and 21 off 16 balls), so Scorchers will be hoping he can carry on from a start today.
- Liam Livingstone struck a half-century (67 off 38 balls) in his last game vs Sydney Sixers.
- Mitchell Marsh has an excellent record vs Sixers: 8 inns, 217 runs, avg. 43.40, SR 130.72. He smashed 57* (27) against them earlier this season, and is also coming off a breathtaking 54* off 26 balls a few days ago vs Heat.
- No bowler has taken more wickets than Jhye Richardson in BBL 10 (27 in 14 matches). This includes four wickets vs Sixers (3/15 and 1/31).
- Andrew Tye has the most wickets in Sixers-Scorchers matches (19 scalps in just 11 matches). He took 4/20 vs Sixers earlier this season.
- Jason Behrendorff’s battle vs Sixers top order will be key. The left-arm seamer has 13 wickets in eight games vs Sixers.
