BBL09 Match 47: MR vs HH Dream11 Possible Playing 11 Pitch Report | MR vs HH Dream11 Today | Melbourne Renegades vs Hobart Hurricanes Preview Dream11 Prediction | Melbourne Renegades vs Hobart Hurricanes Key Players | MR vs HH Dream11
Top of the table clash yesterday. Bottom of the table clash today. Two sides who have had disappointing campaigns go head-to-head in Melbourne.
Melbourne Renegades have won two straight, including one of the most talked about games in recent times. However, it is too little, too late as their nine straight defeats is impossible to come back from, even with a fifth team rewarded with a playoffs spot.
However, they do have a good chance to make it three straight wins. Hobart Hurricanes’ season has been in free-fall, losing their last four completed matches despite the great effort of David Miller last game.
Incredibly, however, the Hurricanes are still in contention for a playoffs spot. They sit four points outside the top five with a game in hand, so a win gives them a chance with two games remaining after this one.
Key Players to Watch/Key Stats
- Ben McDermott’s most significant scores in the past few weeks have been 20s and 30s. However, he enjoys playing Renegades, with 288 runs at 96.00 against them.
- This includes a century in what remains the highest chase in BBL history, achieved at Docklands in 2017, which is where the game is played today. He also scored an unbeaten fifty vs Renegades this season.
- Matthew Wade has been dismissed inside the first two overs in his last two innings. If he can get past the powerplay today, the Hurricanes will benefit significantly.
- Shaun Marsh hit 196 runs in five innings vs Hurricanes when he was a Scorchers player. Earlier this season, he hit 37 against them, of which he would be keen to build on today.
- Sam Harper was out for a duck vs Hurricanes earlier this season. However, he was Man of the Match vs Hurricanes at Docklands last season.
- Beau Webster has been the biggest positive for the Renegades in a tough season. He has scored below 25 just twice in his past eight knocks.
- George Bailey scored 70* (53) on this ground last season.
- It took a while, but David Miller made the impact expected of him. He is coming off 90* (48) vs Strikers on Sunday.
- Daniel Christian has had a good last two games: 21* (12), 3/14 and 2/9.
- Samit Patel has taken at least one wicket in each of his past four games. Mohammad Nabi, on the other hand, has conceded 50 runs in his last two overs.
- Cameron Boyce: A must-have in Fantasy teams? He is coming off 4/15. More, he is on a good run at Docklands: 2/33, 2/30, 2/18, 2/31, 1/37.
- Scott Boland in BBL09: 2/29, 3/16, 1/33, 1/45, 1/11, 2/26.
- Nathan Ellis took three wickets vs Renegades earlier in BBL09.

Marvel Stadium Pitch Report and Conditions
The average first innings score in three games at Marvel Stadium in BBL09 is 158.7. The team batting second has won the last two games on the ground, which suggests that a score upward of 165 is needed.
In terms of the pitch, Marvel Stadium usually errs on the slower side. However, the pitch for the Melbourne Derby 11 days ago was truer, showcased by the Renegades’ strong start and Glenn Maxwell’s incredible finish.

Match Prediction
Hobart Hurricanes sit above Melbourne Renegades on the table. However, the Renegades are in better form, and with two wins behind them, they are favourites to take out this match.
