Pallekele weather forecast for IND vs NEP Asia Cup match | Will rain spoil the India vs Nepal match at Kandy?
September is typically rainy season in parts of Sri Lanka. Unfortunately for cricket fans, that trend is holding true in this Asia Cup, and may continue to do so.
Rain could play spoilsport once again at Pallekele, with the India-Nepal match under threat. There is the possibility of a second straight no-result for India, after the entire second innings against Pakistan was washed out on Saturday.
IND vs NEP Asia Cup: What is the weather forecast in Pallekele?
AccuWeather, which often wins out against other weather apps, forecasts an 89% chance of precipitation on Monday. However, the hourly forecast looks more promising from 3pm onwards after early morning rain.

The only period where there is greater than a 50% chance of precipitation is between 4 and 5pm. Every other hour has less than a 50% chance, with cloudy conditions expected right throughout. Should this hold true, there should be a result, given the AccuWeather app accurately predicted the second innings of the India-Pakistan match would be washed out.

Google paints a more bleak picture. They forecast towards an 80% chance of precipitation at the 3pm start time, then hovering around 65-70% through to 7pm. Then, the rain is expected to return in the evening.
Overcast conditions may prompt the captain who wins the toss to bowl first. Here is hoping the weather holds off long enough to allow for a result. Should there be a no-result, India will qualify to the Super Four stage.
