Cricket Australia and Dettol have joined hands to develop hygiene protocols for the teams, support staff, and cricket community. The four-year contract which starts this summer will create a safe zone for players returning to grounds, ovals, and backyards. According to the official statement by Cricket Australia, Dettol will join as the naming rights partner of the Men’s One Day International and Men’s T20 International Series as well as the Men’s Support Team, along with a partnership with the World Cup-winning Women’s International team, for the next four years.

Dettol is such a well-known and trusted brand with a long heritage, both here in Australia and around the world, and their support will give confidence about protecting the return of community and elite cricket this summer. Beyond this summer, we look forward to working with Dettol to help embed hygienic behavioral change into schools, clubs, and communities through cricket”, Nick Hockley, Cricket Australia Interim CEO.
Due to Covid-19 outbreak, it has become important to give emphasis to these measures and educate the cricketing community on the role that they play in stopping the spread of germs so that the sports can be enjoyed to its fullest along with spectators and families.
