IND vs AUS 2nd ODI Dream11 Prediction Possible 11 Pitch Report | IND vs AUS 2nd ODI Dream11 Prediction Today | Indore Pitch Report

India and Australia have another opportunity at experimentation before the experienced big guns return in the third ODI. In the first clash, experienced gun Mohammed Shami led the way with a five-wicket haul, with young gun Shubman Gill combining with the talented Ruturaj Gaikwad for a 142-run opening stand.

From there, Australia were almost certainly staring down the barrel of a fourth-straight ODI defeat. Adam Zampa’s efforts gave the tourists a sniff, but the fact he bowled for the first time in the 15th over, it all seemed too late for Pat Cummins’ men.

At Indore, Australia need to stitch bigger partnerships together. Regular wickets hurt them at Mohali, which is a concern given Australia have question marks with regards to how they start against spin. If they get going, anything is possible with a boost in confidence needed ahead of the World Cup.

IND vs AUS 2nd ODI Possible Playing XIs

Both India and Australia may look at further experimentation. India could rest Jasprit Bumrah, who has now played a few games in a row. Also, Sundar may play.

India: 1. Ruturaj Gaikwad, 2. Shubman Gill, 3. Shreyas Iyer, 4. Suryakumar Yadav, 5. KL Rahul (c & wk), 6. Ravindra Jadeja, 7. Washington Sundar, 8. R Ashwin, 9. Shardul Thakur, 10. Mohammed Shami, 11. Mohammed Siraj/Jasprit Bumrah.

Glenn Maxwell is out of this match. Mitchell Starc is unlikely to play as well. Australia may bring Josh Hazlewood back, possibly for Marcus Stoinis.

Australia: 1. David Warner, 2. Mitchell Marsh, 3. Steve Smith, 4. Marnus Labuschagne, 5. Cameron Green, 6. Alex Carey/Josh Inglis, 7. Marcus Stoinis/Aaron Hardie, 8. Pat Cummins (c), 9. Sean Abbott, 10. Adam Zampa, 11. Josh Hazlewood

IND vs AUS 2nd ODI Dream11 Prediction – Fantasy Tips

India:

  • Shubman Gill averages 64.75 after 34 ODIs (1,813 runs). He looked in rare form in the first ODI, where he middled nearly every delivery. Also, Gill scored a century in his sole ODI at Indore.
  • KL Rahul when batting at number five in ODIs: 19 inns, 781 runs, avg. 52.06, SR 98.73. The captain made Zampa pay for a drop at Mohali, going on to make an unbeaten 58.
  • Can Suryakumar Yadav build on his half-century? His effort at Mohali was just his third half-century in 26 ODI innings, so consistency is key now for Yadav.
  • Mohammed Shami was outstanding in the first ODI. He will look to shape the ball away from Mitch Marsh again. Also, he has now dismissed Steve Smith four times in 109 balls in ODIs (118 runs).
  • Also, Shami has the most wickets of any current player in AUS-IND ODIs (37) at an average of 31.40 and strike rate of 31.24.
  • Mohammed Siraj, if picked, will be key upfront. Since the start of 2022, Siraj has taken 32 powerplay wickets at an average of 15.9.

Australia:

  • Mitchell Marsh smashed 194 runs at an average of 97.00 and strike rate of 131.08 against India earlier this year. However, he has made scores of 0, 29, 6, 71 and 4 in his past five ODIs.
  • David Warner was Australia’s only half-centurion in the first match. Overall against India, Warner averages 50.71, with 1,065 runs to his name.
  • Steve Smith is crucial to Australia’s hopes. He has a superb record against India in ODIs: 21 inns, 1,186 runs, avg. 56.47, SR 102.06.
  • Adam Zampa bowled nicely in the first ODI. He now has 33 wickets in 20 matches against India (avg. 30.57), including four dismissals against KL Rahul (avg. 23.5).
  • Josh Hazlewood has dismissed Shreyas Iyer thrice in 26 balls in white-ball cricket (once in ODIs, twice in T20s).

Other Stats and Facts

  • Head-to-head since the start of 2017: 24 matches, India 14, Australia 10.
  • At Mohali, six of Australia’s top seven reached 29. However, only David Warner crossed fifty.
  • KL Rahul in ODIs against Australia: 12 inns, 450 runs, avg. 50.00, SR 93.36.
  • David Warner averages 51.77 in ten ODIs in India (466 runs).
  • Shubman Gill is the only player to have hit at least four ODI centuries in 2023.

Holkar Cricket Stadium Indore Pitch Report and Weather

Flat pitch and small boundaries. That is usually on the menu at Indore. Earlier this year, Rohit Sharma (101) and Gill (112) smashed 212 off 26.1 overs for the opening wicket in a total of 385 against New Zealand. The Black Caps responded with 295 at a run rate of over seven.

There is a chance of morning thunderstorms, but AccuWeather’s hourly forecast suggests there should be full match.
