• Shubman Gill also missed out against Pakistan, but you’d be brave to leave him out of your fantasy team. Since the start of 2022, Gill has struck 1,398 ODI runs at an average of 66.60 and strike rate of 104.20.
• Ishan Kishan played arguably his best knock in ODI cricket a few days ago. He struck an excellent 81-ball 82 against Pakistan under pressure.
• Hardik Pandya in ODIs since the start of last year: 13 inns, 467 runs, avg. 38.9, SR 97.9.
• Mohammed Siraj will be key in the powerplay in overcast conditions. Since the start of 2022, Siraj has taken 26 wickets at an average of 16.80 and economy of 4.24 between overs 1-10.

Nepal:

• Rohit Paudel and Aasif Sheikh are key for Nepal up top. Both are the only two Nepalese players to hit over 1,000 ODI runs.
• Sompal Kami top-scored for Nepal (28) and took two wickets against Pakistan. He did find the going difficult at the death, so this will be an area of focus for he and his team.
• Karan KC impressed in the early overs against Pakistan. India were shaky in the powerplay last game, so Karan will be looking to test the Indians with his accuracy.
• Sandeep Lamichhane is vital to Nepal’s hopes of a competitive showing. The legspinner is the only Nepalese player with 100+ ODI wickets. He averages 17.71.

• This will be the first ODI between the two nations.
• Out of India’s 267 against Pakistan, 138 came in one stand between Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan.
